Line your eyes with a bunch of black powder eyeshadow and pile on two or three coats of Maybelline Great Lash. Streaks and smudges guaranteed.

I use Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof. The trick is this: before applying, take a tissue and wipe almost ALL the mascara off the applicator. Then apply in multiple layers. You will nearly always get clumps or way too much per lash if you don't wipe first. Taught to me by a model.

I use Maybelline Great Lash (pink and green that someone mentioned above), and it has been a classic for decades. Curling first has been key for me. I do also use other applicators so that I can control how much goes on and ensure I don’t put on too much. Another mascara I like is ELF Lash Extender.
