Drugstore makeup can be good and I regret spending on high-end brands for years

ngl brands like mac and urban decay have really decreased in quality since 2019, while drugstore brands have only gotten better…I remember when drugstores only had 3 brands and no color ranges. You could buy “black” or “blackest black” mascara, silver or blue eye shadow, and mauve or red lipstick. N

Products everyone loves & you cant stand!

Maybelline Great Lash in the green packaging. Never worked for me, always clumped and flaked. I don't get why people love it.

Whats most overrated makeup product ever seen?

Ever seen? Alright here we go (Sorry if your favourite is in this, this is just based on my experience working as a make-up artist): Complexion: Estee Lauder Double Wear. Now, I haven't tried their newest formulation, but for some years this was the UK's best selling foundation. It just doesn't look

What was THE makeup product in the 90s or early 2000s?

90s Chanel Vamp nails and lips. Urban Decay eyeshadow and nail polish. Hard Candy nail polish. Clinique Black Honey lippie and their matte foundation, although the foundation wasn't "cool," was just really good. It was the older sister/auntie brand. The more trendy foundation was Mac, which was just

What's your favorite mascara? mine is this for over 10 years

Has to be the classic Maybelline Great Lash. It's the only one that doesn't irritate my eyes, and I remember seeing my mom using it as a kid and wanting the exact same one when I grew up

Drugstore makeup can be good and I regret spending on high-end brands for years

I love many high end products but also know I can rely on some drugstore brands. For instance, you can never go wrong with Maybelline Great Lash in a pinch or otherwise. Physician’s Formula is trustworthy. And last year I bought a Wet & Wild Megaglo Hello Halo blush/highlighter (in I Met Someone) th

What’s a “holy grail” product everyone loves but just… didn’t work for you at all? What happened?

Maybelline Great Lash. Does nothing for my lashes and then smudges

Looking for a really bad mascara

The classic pink and green tube of maybelline great lash is guaranteed to get the job done. Lay it on nice and thick 💕

Mascara

I live in the soupy south, too, but I use nothing but Maybelline Great Lash waterproof in the pink and green tube. Between contacts and humidity, I would definitely have raccoon eyes. I’ve used this mascara for almost 50 years, and it hasn’t failed me yet.
