Is anyone using a small backpackable monitor for small events?
I've bought the Mackie Thump Go for this purpose plus house/street parties with friends. I was more inclined for the Bose but didn't find the sound amazing for club style music, I feel it's better suited for vocals/live music. So my options changed to Mackie vs Everse 8. And then yeah, for this purp

Speaker recommendation for bedroom and mini house party
Didn't read in detail, but this has an easy answer. House party: JBL Partybox, as much as your budget allows or a pair to spread the sound. Or hi-fi/desk 2.1 systems. Monitors are for monitoring. Mostly flat, boring, directional, close range, etc. An 8" monitor is not an 8" speaker. Small PA is over

Which speakers to get?
I'd skip the JBL entirely. They sound nice, but you can't build a decent DJ system on that. Delay due to DSP, no pro connections, no mixer, etc. They are really meant for domestic/end-user only. I've got two Mackie Thump Go (bought 2y apart, so I'm clearly happy) and they are decent, have embedded 2

Looking for options for portable PA for small/medium protests
The EV Everse line is solid, built in mixer, battery powered, and good output for it's size. They come in 8" and 12" variants. They are quite light(IMO). JBL has some good options, haven't personally used them though. Mackie is the cheapest option I'd recommend, the Thump Go series is very light, ea

Small portable amp good for effects pedals
There are plenty of small battery power PA options. JBL EON one Compact, Electrovoice Everse 8 and Bose S1 Pro are just three options I have really liked the sound of. Mackie makes the Thump Go too as another option that is okay but I feel like it gets a bit bass heavy for me to be completely happy

Speakers for small house parties?
If you’d like it to be portable (small and able to run on a battery) Mackie thump go is a good option. It’s what I have and is plenty loud for a small house party. You could get more bass with one of the 10,12,15 inch models but those can’t run on battery and are less portable. If you really want ba

Jbl Partybox 310 vs. Mackie Thump Go. just DJing dubstep (space bass, wonky) at small kickbacks. which is going to sound better?
A year late to this but I have a pair of 310s and my friend has a pair of Go's. The thumps are definitely louder but the low end is missing. The 310s have much better bass representation as far as house and techno are concerned so im assuming dubstep will fare better with those alone. If you plan on

Speakers for small house parties?
The Mackie thump go is a single model. It can run on a battery without being plugged in and has an 8 inch driver. For about the same price you can get a non battery powered 12 inch which may be a better option just a matter of preference. I kind of wish I had a bit more bass so if ur unsure I’d go f

What is your go to speaker setup for house parties (10-50 people)?
Get a small column PA. ES602, Maui 5, TS112C, etc. Some are lighter than many tops, covers lows nicely because it has a sub, quick setup, wide sound pattern (spreads more in a short room), easier to manage indoors. I own a larger PA like yours (12" top, 18" sub, 132dB 4000w), but this is a lot more

What is your go to speaker setup for house parties (10-50 people)?
Yall are gonna jump down my throat, but this is a question for small gathering house parties… Mackie Thump Go 8” tops and Mackie ThumpSub Go 8” sub-woofer worked PERFECTLY for the last house party I gigged. 10 people, basement living room, nobody complained about sound quality and it was PLENTY loud
