Monitor Speakers?
None. Monitors aren't for partying. If that's the purpose, and if you don't need studio level accuracy/flatness, just get a small 8" PA speaker and and small sub or a column PA. If your controller doesn't require mains power, then Alto Busker and Mackie Thump Go are cool options for total off-grid p

Speaker recs??
Not a speaker for Djing. Get something like the Alto TX412B or Mackie Thump Go if you need battery, or normal PA if you don't need it. They'll be louder and with the right inputs for Djing.

Column speaker for house parties?
Thump Go is a decent speaker for what it is, but it's an 8" battery-powered speaker. All battery-powered speakers on the market don't perform as well as comparible plug-in PA speakers. If you're on a budget, you'll get a lot more for your money with a pair of 12" PA tops vs cheaper column speakers.

Omnis Duo - Buy now or wait?
I own an Omnis-Duo and purchased a Mackie Thump Go setup specifically because I wanted a rig that was not dependent on any power, whatsoever. It has been so much fun to use, I’m super glad I got it. It’s a neat all-in-one.

Building DIY Battery Powered PA Subwoofer Amplifier
i've been down this road and honestly for a first project a battery pa sub is pretty complex. the tpa3255 wants 36-48v for full power and pulling that from a 12v battery needs a boost converter which adds noise and inefficiency. a 50ah 12v battery gets you maybe 600 watt hours - running two subs you

Help a Coach with a mobile PA system
Get a battery powered pro speaker or pair. QSC CB10, Electrovoice Everse, JBL Eon, or Mackie Thump Go. (In order of quality.) Buy once cry once. You can power via cord or use the battery which will be extremely handy and expand the usability greatly. Most of these have built in mic pre, Bluetooth, e

Column speaker for house parties?
I have the Mackie Thump Go. Not as my primary, but for a pop-up quick party, no need for external power, with a Numark Mixstream Pro Go, I think they are great. Two of the Thump Go are great for their size. Will they rock a fest? Of course not. Mackie also has a SubThump Go. That bug hasn't bitten m

Battery-powered amp for outdoor practice?
My husband uses a Mackie Thump Go. We can plug his guitar/mic/pedalboard/looping station, and my bass into it and play together and sound pretty good. We play small venues with just that, and I have mic'ed it before for a larger venue with a full band. It's great, and the battery lasts a really long

Best monitor speakers for beginner DJ?
This. I use to practice on monitors then wonder why things were so different when I was playing out. Currently using a single Mackie Thump Go 8 and headphones on the other ear. Doubles as a monitor when playing somewhere and the battery is good for a couple hours no problem. Sub $300 off Reverb used
