Gram 17

I have a 17 inch LG Gram. Great screen size, still lightweight. I just don't find 12-13 inch screens big enough to be useful for anything I can't do on my phone, and having a laptop big enough for a number pad on the keyboard is important to me too as I use it extensively for the work I do.

Plenty of bad advice in these comments. Most backpacks will go up to 16 inches. There are plenty of good options. The LG gram 16 is one of them. Acer Swifts and HP Omnibooks are another.

If you are tied to your desk at home then either works but you can also get a keyboard and mouse. Otherwise laptop for sure. This seems like a winning theory - denser, cheaper materials. I have the LG Gram 17" windows laptop, and it's a miracle of engineering. Feels very flimsy, but they really went to town shaving off grams.

My favorites are business-class Lenovo, LG, and HP laptops. Generally in the $800-$1200 range gets me the features I need (hard drive space and RAM). Be sure to get an extra screen if you can. Having at least two displays is a must for me. I actually use three regularly. And be sure to choose one th
