It seems so unreasonable to carry one around all day
I have a 17 inch LG Gram. Great screen size, still lightweight. I just don't find 12-13 inch screens big enough to be useful for anything I can't do on my phone, and having a laptop big enough for a number pad on the keyboard is important to me too as I use it extensively for the work I do.

Linus Tech Tips - I Should Have Invested MORE in Framework April 21, 2026 at 11:00AM
The main thing I want to carry forward is a good screen. Ibought a LG Gram 17 inch (i5-1035G7) in like 2021 (refurb, big discount) and the screen is amazing. I looked at framework, but the screens were meh to bleh, especially in larger size. A year later now; they solve that yet? That i5 is getting

Laptop recommendations?
My favorites are business-class Lenovo, LG, and HP laptops. Generally in the $800-$1200 range gets me the features I need (hard drive space and RAM). Be sure to get an extra screen if you can. Having at least two displays is a must for me. I actually use three regularly. And be sure to choose one th

Laptop recommendation for a 3rd year uni student (future Business Analyst)
you really need a laptop and a homelab. Buy used and have your server accessible (securely) from the internet (tailscale I think is better than vpn). You do not want your VM on your laptop to corrupts something the night before a major project is due. Best practice is "separation of concerns". That'

is LG Gram laptops good ?
They only make washing machines and refrigerators? They're one of the largest TV manufacturers in the world 😂 They also used to make decent phones for quite awhile too. Anyway, LG gram laptops have typically been okay if you're looking for a very thin and lite Windows laptop. Similar to the Samsung

[Hardware Canucks] Somehow the Macbook Pro became a BARGAIN
I'd love a 17" macbook air. 14-15" I find too small now. I'm using an 17" LG gram, which is the weight of a Mac Book air, and the extra screen real-estate makes you much more productive if you're doing anything that's intensive with a few docked windows, side-bars, etc...

Which Laptop to buy? Budget $1,200-$1,500 USA
Since you are agnostic on screen size I would recommend the new and relatively light LG Gram 17" with an Intel 7 series 3 (Panther Lake, 2016) at a very sweet price of $1300 at Best Buy which is $300 off of what the price was Sunday night. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/lg-gram-max-17-touch-screen-
