IMHO the gold standard right now is this Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 - which got a 10/10 for repairability on iFixit: The keyboard, battery, ports, and fans are all designed to be easy to replace. And while the laptop uses low-power LPDDR5x memory, it’s not soldered to the mainboard: this one of a rel

Let me explain the ThinkPad T: This is Lenovo's corporate line of laptops. "Corporate" means it's used by large corporations. Corporations don't buy them. They lease them for three or five years, usually directly from Lenovo. They pay almost full price for this, but they get quick replacements for f

Design aside, I am genuinely not a fan of the Lets Note line in terms of pricing. I mean, they're a distinct design and all with features still relevant for the Japanese market, but wtf do you mean 340K Yen for a 255H+32GB model? Crazy considering that's enough to net you 2x T14s G6a last I checked.

you can use it to get the effect of windows-exclusive dolby tuning on linux. you convolve the recording of a gaussian pulse played on windows. so cool! wildly better speakers. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Lenovo_ThinkPad_T14_(AMD)_Gen_4 scroll down to speakers

It's not cheap. CAD 349 buys you a used ThinkPad or HP EliteBook that's going to be much faster, come with a usable amount of RAM, and a proper Windows installation, not Windows 11 in S mode. Do not buy any cheap brand new laptop. I advise you take a look at an HP EliteBook 845 or 855 G8 on the used

I have used the X1 Carbon Gen 13 and it didn't have anything that made it feel more premium Sorry, but as an owner of said device (and someone who has tested most current gen ThinkPads), I have to completely disagree with you. The difference is apparent the second you touch the X1 Carbon, since it i

Not normal, I have the same CPU in a T16 Gen 4 (AMD). What I discovered, was something is occupying the NPU 100%. Please check NPU utilization in task manager and disable the Windows WSAIFabricSvc service. The 90% charging should give you more than 3 hrs unless your battery is very small. The 90% ch

For me, the X1 Carbon is considered the “premium” ThinkPad mainly because of the design philosophy behind it rather than raw performance. Lenovo positions it as their showcase model the one that’s supposed to represent the brand at its best. In day-to-day use though, the differences aren’t as dramat

Elitebook warnanya cuma 6-bit, ThinkPad udah 8-bit. Elitebook manajemen suhu ya kurang dibandingkan ThinkPad. Elitebook terasa lebih mewah dan modern dibandingkan ThinkPad yg kalem dan masih sama seperti seri lama (tapi ini masalah selera aja si). ThinkPad T14 G1-G2 RAM nya 1 onboard + 1 slot upgrad
