Anyone ever downgrade from 4k to 1440p and happy with the decision?

Yep, went from LG 27GR95QE (1440p) -> LG 27GS95QE (1440p) -> LG 32GS95UX (4k) -> Gigabyte MO27Q28G (1440p). The new tandem panel pretty much solves my issues with the previous monitors I had. They were all too dimm compared to my old IPS monitor. I'm perfectly fine with playing Battlefield 6 with dl

Genuinely losing my mind over input latency

I do nothing special. I typically enable Wayland commands for HDR. VRR enabled, screen tearing off. Im having a smooth AF experience with the same games. Even RT is the same as W11 now with Mesa 26. I just did CB2077 benchmarks and with RT on i actually beat W11 by a frame. Thats been unheard of in

Looking for 27 inch monitor for movies and work. Budget is around $500

The Alienware is a great monitor. I am guessing you’ve thought about IPS monitors and decided against them? See if any of these are any better for you: » LG 27GS95QE - 27", 240hz, W-OLED, good brightness with a matte finish. Great option for PS5 and Xbox. Freesync and GSync compatible. Displayport 1

Help me Upgrade my Monitors

Got it. I use the 27gs95qe oled from LG. It's very capable and brighter than the older model this on replaces. Also, comes with a remote for easy switching between modes. Good luck choosing.

4K IPS vs 1440p OLED - RTX 5070 Ti

Okay, that's terrifying that we were in the same situation! Sorry for the two-week reply, but if we did the same thing, it's very possible you also decided on a 2K OLED ;D That's what I did and it was probably the best choice I could have made. The 2K does a truly amazing job, and looking at my frie

Which monitor do you recommend to get the most out of my PC?

Balanced gaming/movies (main pick) 27" 1440p 240 Hz OLED (e.g., LG 27GS95QE), ASUS ROG Strix / MSI / Gigabyte 27" 1440p 165–240 Hz IPS gaming lines, which are frequently highlighted as top 1440p choices in 2025 roundups Immersive gaming - 34" 3440×1440 ultrawide 144–165 Hz (IPS or OLED) or 32" 1440p

Any recommendation for monitors (oled)

For that budget, you can get some really good OLED options now. The LG 27GS95QE is a fantastic 27-inch 240hz WOLED that should be around £600. I'd also look at the ASUS ROG Swift PG27AQDM, it's a bit older but might be on sale. Both are 1440p and perfect for gaming. Just keep in mind the standard OL

Gaming Monitor Choice

i've tried both and kept the LG 27GS95QE. colors pop a bit more on the msi but the lg has better text clarity for desktop use. both will last fine - modern oleds have good burn in protection. with a 5080 you really feel that 480hz in fast games. beautiful graphics is right, this thing is insane for
