Maybe its a skill issue on your end then lol. Iv only used Linux for about 3 years now but this is easy stuff. Had a 4070 myself as well as a 7900xt i have boxed up still. Are we comparing HW now? My OLED is an LG 27GS95QE, not the best but i absolutely love it for my use case. Oh and paired with a

I have that Alienware AW2725D sitting in my room waiting to be returned. I couldn't stand the QD-OLED fringing. Some people don't find it bothersome, others like myself find it unbearable. I'm currently using an LG 27GS95QE WOLED and I'm waiting for the recently released 280Hz Tandem WOLEDs to becom

Oh I have a nice LG 27GS95QE WOLED. It can do over 1000 nits using it's MLA lenses but they don't show up in a white window that these calibrations use. And they are only used when the monitor is in high brightness mode. I'm well.awate an led fake HDR monitor would not be worth it. Iv seen this moni

So if i were to disable KDE's tone mapper, my video games would show more of a 1:1 with Windows 11? What would the recommended value in paper white be then after doing this within KDEs settings? EDIT: So i disabled the KDE tone mapper and my HDR is completely fixed. This might be monitor dependent t

matte daily-driver for Excel/code (LG 27GS95QE) OLED monitors with low pixel density such as 27-inch QHD ones aren’t quite suitable for text-related work though, due to OLED-specific subpixel layouts incompatible with subpixel text-antialiasing algorithms such as ClearType. Note that Medium.com is n

i was in the exact same spot a few months ago. the lg 27gs95qe is a beast for the pro - it's a 27" 4k oled with 240hz and hdmi 2.1, so you're fully set for any game. the colors and blacks are just insane coming from an ips. another one to check is the asus pg27aqdm, also 27" 4k oled with great respo

I do nothing special. I typically enable Wayland commands for HDR. VRR enabled, screen tearing off. Im having a smooth AF experience with the same games. Even RT is the same as W11 now with Mesa 26. I just did CB2077 benchmarks and with RT on i actually beat W11 by a frame. Thats been unheard of in
