This was the only laptop that Walmart had.
Return it and get a Mac neo for 499 from the apple education store (they don't verify if you are an actual student) or for 599 somewhere else. It is by far the best laptop at that price point and this is coming from a certified apple hater. (Edit) You should also consider a used ThinkPad T14 gen 2 o

What Thinkpads do people use?
Let me explain the ThinkPad T: This is Lenovo's corporate line of laptops. "Corporate" means it's used by large corporations. Corporations don't buy them. They lease them for three or five years, usually directly from Lenovo. They pay almost full price for this, but they get quick replacements for f

Why is the X1 Carbon considered the most premium ThinkPad?
I have used the X1 Carbon Gen 13 and it didn't have anything that made it feel more premium Sorry, but as an owner of said device (and someone who has tested most current gen ThinkPads), I have to completely disagree with you. The difference is apparent the second you touch the X1 Carbon, since it i

Why is the X1 Carbon considered the most premium ThinkPad?
For me, the X1 Carbon is considered the “premium” ThinkPad mainly because of the design philosophy behind it rather than raw performance. Lenovo positions it as their showcase model the one that’s supposed to represent the brand at its best. In day-to-day use though, the differences aren’t as dramat

Thinkpad T14S Gen 5 - Why aren't there a lot of reviews for this version?
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-ThinkPad-T14s-Gen-5-laptop-review-The-premium-T-ThinkPad-with-Intel-Core-Ultra.866472.0.html 165H should be better, but less battery life (comparable to Zen 3 IIRC?). Not sure how it cools the 165H. T14s positioning is horrible in recent gens, especially Intel, a

Is anyone else having to hold off laptop purchases?
Lenovo prices went up about 25% since January but we still need to replace ~25% of our laptops this year. (4 year warranty so laptops last 4 years before they're sold). That 25% made our T14s build more expensive than our "premium" Apple MacBook Air M5 build. We ended up going for the Ultra5 chip in

I really need a laptop 💻! But...
Step 1: Find a part time job. Step 2: Pick up a used Lenovo Thinkpad t14s Gen 1 or Dell Latitude 7420 on eBay for $150-200. They're cheap, well built, and reasonably quick for the price.

Panasonic Lets Note and My Thinkpads
Design aside, I am genuinely not a fan of the Lets Note line in terms of pricing. I mean, they're a distinct design and all with features still relevant for the Japanese market, but wtf do you mean 340K Yen for a 255H+32GB model? Crazy considering that's enough to net you 2x T14s G6a last I checked.
