First Macbook Neo Teardown: Apple's most repairable laptop?
IMHO the gold standard right now is this Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 - which got a 10/10 for repairability on iFixit: The keyboard, battery, ports, and fans are all designed to be easy to replace. And while the laptop uses low-power LPDDR5x memory, it’s not soldered to the mainboard: this one of a rel

Framework is keeping its word and making older hardware compatible with newer hardware, the only way to gradually create a market standard.
Backwards-compatibility is a super important part of upgradability. This is what, for me, gives the Framework Laptop 13 the edge over the recent reparable ThinkPads. If I buy a ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 and then a few years from now either my mainboard dies or I want to upgrade to a newer generation CPU, I

What Thinkpads do people use?
Let me explain the ThinkPad T: This is Lenovo's corporate line of laptops. "Corporate" means it's used by large corporations. Corporations don't buy them. They lease them for three or five years, usually directly from Lenovo. They pay almost full price for this, but they get quick replacements for f

“The Last Great ThinkPad “
T14 G7 is the redesigned and far more repairable & upgradable one. I'd say it will become "the last good ThinkPad" in a couple years, when r/ThinkPads will finally afford one with their budget of $100 lol. Because let's be honest, price is why so many T480 owners circle jerk to it.

“The Last Great ThinkPad “
Yes, it's not a beast, but it still does what I need it to do, which is perfectly fine. If I recall correctly, T14 Gen 5 onward ditched some of the soldered components, but what makes the Gen 6 specifically, the modern great ThinkPad as opposed to the newer Gen 7 or some of the P series?

Need help choosing a ThinkPad (after a really bad Legion experience)
If this is your first ThinkPad, go newer. The T480 is great for tinkering, but the T14 Gen 2 is the better daily driver for most people, faster RAM too. What you do gain is a massive generational leap in performance over any 8-10th gen Intel chip and you’ll feel it in every single task. Just open so

Thinkpad T14S Gen 5 - Why aren't there a lot of reviews for this version?
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-ThinkPad-T14s-Gen-5-laptop-review-The-premium-T-ThinkPad-with-Intel-Core-Ultra.866472.0.html 165H should be better, but less battery life (comparable to Zen 3 IIRC?). Not sure how it cools the 165H. T14s positioning is horrible in recent gens, especially Intel, a

This is ridiculous tbh
That's the best part; you don't know how widespread this may actually/truly be. Not a lot of users immediately go to Reddit and say "LOOK AT MY GREEN LINE" I worked at Lenovo during the release of the X1 Carbon 9th generation; the internet still has notes on "what was happening" but it's a few spora

thinkpad t14 gen 2 atau hp elite book 845 g8 dengan spek yang sama?
Elitebook warnanya cuma 6-bit, ThinkPad udah 8-bit. Elitebook manajemen suhu ya kurang dibandingkan ThinkPad. Elitebook terasa lebih mewah dan modern dibandingkan ThinkPad yg kalem dan masih sama seperti seri lama (tapi ini masalah selera aja si). ThinkPad T14 G1-G2 RAM nya 1 onboard + 1 slot upgrad

Calling all laptop nerds
I'd recommend a refurbished ThinkPad T14 Gen3 or newer. I found this one. The ThinkPads are very durable and last a long time. You can upgrade the RAM and storage if needed later on.
