Maes me paso lo que a muchos les paso

A mi me pasó y ya hace un par de años la vendí... Amaba esa PC pero se convirtió en un costoso pisapapeles.. Ahora tengo una modesta lenovo p53 Y no necesito nada más.

Framework laptop with a ThinkPad keyboard

I heard that in a recent video from Framework as well. I don't know why they need such a tight gap. Lenovo managed, so did Dell, HP and even Sony when they were still using TrackPoint's. It certainly hasn't been an issue in a combined 5 years of recent Thinkpad usage (P53 for work, P14s Gen3 and the

MSI of 10+ years died.

I’d avoid a gaming laptop if you don’t do much gaming TBH. A Dell Precision or Lenovo P Series will be much better for civil engineering and still be able to game a bit. Most of them have enough VRAM to handle most games, but will work especially well with AutoCAD Civil, InRoads, HECRAS, etc. Source

Any issues running Mint on a Thinkpad P50/P53 (advice please)

ThinkPads are generally considered to be goated in regards to Linux support. Mint should be perfectly fine because it's based on Ubuntu, and Canonical works with Lenovo to validate hardware compatibility. Don't know about specifically P50/P53, but they're usually good.

BME mérnökinfóra vagy ELTE proginfóra milyen erős laptop kell?

Nem, mert ezer tab a browserben, docker konténerek, virtualbox mindenféle minden eszi a ramot. The T480 was the best thing I've ever bought in my life. (no joke)

My p53 with the RTX 4000 is the best purchase I made. it repalced my p53 with the t2000, whcih replaced my p52 with the p1000, which replaced my p50. Having a numpad is a HUGE must for me when travelling. Moving my 128 GB RAM and my multiple m.2 ssd's between these made it worth it. Do I need 128 GB

Help me (&wife) consider, How strong is your thinkpad? How long does it last?

When it was overheating while gaming I used it to keep my tea warm. Took it with random stuff in a bag at rush hours regularly. People are joking that with typical thinkpad you can hammer nails to the wall. The chonkier ones have very solid metal frame inside while the lighter ones have either a lig

Which model to buy?

T480 now is more like for web browsing and some light tasks. It just gets old. Why you don't want soldered ram? With T480 the true upside is thr dual battery config with up to 96 Wh. And what budget are we talking? Lenovo owns thinkpad much, much longer that 8th gen. Well, if you want to now buy one
