Maes me paso lo que a muchos les paso

A mi me pasó y ya hace un par de años la vendí... Amaba esa PC pero se convirtió en un costoso pisapapeles.. Ahora tengo una modesta lenovo p53 Y no necesito nada más.

Framework laptop with a ThinkPad keyboard

I heard that in a recent video from Framework as well. I don't know why they need such a tight gap. Lenovo managed, so did Dell, HP and even Sony when they were still using TrackPoint's. It certainly hasn't been an issue in a combined 5 years of recent Thinkpad usage (P53 for work, P14s Gen3 and the

MSI of 10+ years died.

I’d avoid a gaming laptop if you don’t do much gaming TBH. A Dell Precision or Lenovo P Series will be much better for civil engineering and still be able to game a bit. Most of them have enough VRAM to handle most games, but will work especially well with AutoCAD Civil, InRoads, HECRAS, etc. Source

P16 Gen 3 - Real-world experiences before I pull the trigger? concerned about power limitations

I'll be genuinely impressed if it can even sustain 180W load with its form factor, usually that's reserved to those comparatively ancient 5cm thick desktop replacement gaming laptops. I'm more worried about the port wearing out - I undock my P53 daily and have had the dock for the best part for 4 ye

Any issues running Mint on a Thinkpad P50/P53 (advice please)

ThinkPads are generally considered to be goated in regards to Linux support. Mint should be perfectly fine because it's based on Ubuntu, and Canonical works with Lenovo to validate hardware compatibility. Don't know about specifically P50/P53, but they're usually good.

Can I simply use the M.2 port?

The physical m.2 slot is used for both NVME (which is PCIe) and SATA (which is not PCIe) and possibly a few other things. Additionally, firmware/"BIOS" can technically have whitelists indicating exactly what hardware it will accept in an otherwise perfectly fine PCIe m.2 slot. My Lenovo P53 will com

Help in Portugal

check ebay and classified portals in other EU countries, namely Germany. As long as it is in the EU there's no tax/customs headaches, and shipping is reasonable if you don't need speedy. Buy PT keyboard on Aliexpress, swap it out. Something reasonably performant like an 8th Gen quadcore with a dGPU
