I fell into the Leica trap
For your situation I'd sum it up in this way from best to worst scenario:Q2 -> SL2-S -> MThe Q is a wonderful camera which will certainly make you considering an M in future. The SL line is a great middle ground where you can both use expensive anc cheap lenses from various manufacturers. Don't disre

Considering selling to fund an M240 & SL2-S, Am I insane?
I mean, buy a LUMIX S1 for 1/4 the price. Get the M. For near the cost of an SL2S you could get a Q 116 and an S1. Or get the M10 over the M240 + S1. If the M is for joy and the SL2-S is just for getting stuff done, why waste extra money on it to get the same thing? Totally get the Leica is a nicer

Exploring the light
sell it and never come back to it.I had Leica M10, M10R, Q, Q2, Q3, Q343 and SL2S (x2) and never even close they were up to performance of X1D II, I am not even going to compare them with X2D II. I wish I was smarter and never even tried Leica, they are same full frame as other manufacturers with di

My first Leica 🥹
Congrats!... My first Leica was the orginal Q, and I've beaten it to death over the last 9 years, and I still love it. Sprang for an SL2s + 50 sumicron and I love that as well. Once you bond with Leica, there really is no other alternative IMHO.

what are your guys opinion on the leica q 116?
Great camera. I had one, added an SL2–S, then traded both on a Q3. The Typ 116 is definitely in “gateway drug” territory. Downside: the 28mm lens is limiting, especially if you’re coming from interchangeable lens cameras. Upside: that 28mm lens is also the finest optic I’ve shot with. It’s astoundin

Is it a poor decision to purchase an SL2-S if I currently own a Lumix S9?
I do not own a Lumix. But own several Sony cameras along with my SL2-S. Not sure if this is helpful. I wouldnt say its a poor decision, its just a matter of what you want. Even with the sensors being the same. The two cameras are pretty different imo. I purchased the SL2-S a few years back as a gift

Vlada | Leica SL2S
Hi, thanks a lot! At the moment I’m using a Leica SL3. About a year ago I upgraded from the SL2-S, but honestly, I think it was a mistake.Yes, the SL3 has a much higher megapixel count, but I mainly use Leica R lenses via an adapter. Since those lenses aren’t really optimized for a 60MP sensor, I ca

Moving to an SL3-P?
After almost 3 years with SL2S - I decided to abandon Leica and SL series, by the looks of Leica strategy - they are pumping raw cameras into the market and milk customers. SL3P should have been SL3 initially, but we got undercooked camera

Switching from X-T5 to Leica SL2/SL2-S
The dirty little secret is that many Leica shooters have a bag full of Olympus/OM System cameras on the side. Much better system for landscape/hiking/nature photography. I had a SL2-S for a while and I loved it. It was a joy to use; in so many ways it is the Platonic Ideal of a SLR-style mirrorless

Passion for photography reignited
I switched from Sony (A7III, A7IV, and a bunch of GM glass) to Leica (SL2-S and Q2) a year and a half ago. Zero regrets.
