What monitors are you rocking and do you rate them?
KRK Rokit 8s for long throw and Rokit 5s on my desk. I will only buy these. Gibson owns them and their support is phenomenal

want to start producing
You’ll need a computer that’s as powerful as your budget will allow, ideally spending around $1000 for a really nice computer. After that it’s not really necessary unless you’re going legit aka professional. MacBook Airs are good enough for the job and those are 1000 bucks. Macbook pros can handle a

Looking for some budget studio monitors to use with my Helix - More details within!
I use KRK Rokit 5's and I think they sound pretty damn good. I'll add that my monitors are several generations old and I have no plans on upgrading them. They've lasted close to 15 years and I've definitely got my moneys worth out of them. You could probably pick some up used for half the price they

Subwoofer with bulging capacitor - Best option?
Capacitors are through the board and soldering is easy compared to other surface mount components. Buy new ones at mouser farad rating must be same voltage and temp rating higher is better if the board has enough space get a higher voltage rated one. Low esr ones are better. Caps have a line on them

Studio monitor suggestions for a video editor (not pro mixing)
Kali LP-6 V2, Adam T5V, KRK Rokit 5 G5 or G4, in that order. Don't consider any Rokit's before the G4 revision. The KRK G4 and G5 improved a lot from previous versions.

[Buying] Replacing Bose Companion 2 for PC use — €300–€400, EVO4, long loud listening
Adam T7V might be OK. For reference: ASR review of Adam Audio T5V, ASR review of Adam Audio T8V. KRK Rokit RP5 G5 series hasn’t yet been measured. (Older ASR review of KRK Rokit RP5 G4, and ASR review of KRK Classic 5.) PreSonus speakers are absolute crap compared to anything else listed here. (For

Hi, i wanna buy my bf some speakers, hes sent me the edifier mr4 and i thought those were great but hes a bit of a basshead and i read that those dont have the best bass, any recommendations that are on that price level?
If he’s a bass head I’d try to steer away from studio monitors. Monitors are generally tuned to some level of neutral. A flat frequency response is often preferred by producers for mixing and studio work but isn’t always super enjoyable for casual music listening. However, KRK is known to be a prett

Advice needed for monitors
You want a pair of powered studio monitors. "Powered" meaning that they have their own amp built in. (Forgive me if I'm telling you stuff you already know). There are heaps of decent options at a really wide set of price points. Some candidates might include: Kali Audio LP UNF KRK (Rokit 5 or Kreate

Looking for speaker suggestions - control knob problems
Been dealing with the same issue on my old Logitech setup - those analog knobs are cursed after a few years 😂 Try looking at the Logitech Z906 or Z625, they have digital controls and pretty solid build quality. Also check some studio monitors like KRK Rokit series, they usually have digital volume c
