that’s a pair of KRK rokit 5 G4 monitors. i use them to watch films, play video games and listen to all sorts of physical media. have had them for nearly two years now and i love them, i’ve no doubt that the rokit 8s are going to serve you well!

Building this studio has been a real passion project. I spent a lot of time treating the room acoustically to get the sound just right, and it’s been totally worth it. Listening to music through these monitors and subwoofer is pure pleasure !!! Why people use hi- fi instead of monitors? Edit: The mo

Why is it pointless trying them out in a shop? Yes, they'll sound different to in your room but you can still compare between them. Years ago I went to buy some of the original KRK Rokits, looking at probably the 5s. He suggested I listen to them with the 6s, and I bought the 6s on the spot as they

Honestly they're equally bad. They have the exact same mechanism and tiny built-in speakers. So same thing in a different package. If you're only playing in a living room, then I'd go with studio monitors. Honestly, unless it's a pretty large room, 5 or 7 inch monitors are probably fine. If you are worried about "thump" then consider adding a sub. I use a set KRK Rokit 7 G4 for home playing and I'm happy with them. Think I twea

£100 is super entry level for speakers, grab whatever you can fit that price and expect to be not all that impressed 😂 The ones where one is active and the other passive (speaker wire) just means there's only 1 amplifier powering both speakers. If the amped/active one dies, they both stop working. O
