I'm pulling the triger tonight, which do you recommend?
Kobo clara bw. It might be more expensive than the kindle basic but it's waterproof and has warm light and the kindle basic doesn't have those. You might also wait a couple of days and see if it will get any discounts.

Amazon to end support for older Kindles, prompting user outcry
I can't stand Bezos anymore and I try to boycott Amazon whenever possible. I gave up my Kindle and bought a Kobo Clara and buy epub books from Kobo store or 3rd party ebook vendors. Upload is really just copy and paste into the Clara. So far I haven't missed my Kindle once and can only recommend the

TIL Kobo the ebook, audiobooks, and e-reader company started in Canada and its HQ is in Toronto
My partner and I love our Kobo e-readers! She has an older Clara 2E and she just bought me a Clara Colour for my birthday. Apart from not wanting to buy from Amazon, these are much better devices in my opinion than Kindles!

Need an E-Reader but not break the bank
You’re Canadian? Kobo is in Toronto. Just a note. But more importantly, the devices are repairable and well built, plus the policies are pretty user-friendly. (Price matching, returns, downloadable for backup, etc.) I’d only avoid Kobo if you routinely switch between devices (phones/ereaders/tablets

I read for the whole day after Christmas (8ish hours) and it went from fully charged to dying. In comparison to the Paperwhite, which took like

Amazon to end support for older Kindles, prompting user outcry
I’m seriously considering the Kobo Clara Color right now. I’ve always loved my Signature Edition but Amazon is pretty clear that they don’t care about readers.

Are really phone sized ereaders worth it? Can people use it daily and finish books in a regular basis?
i have read so many books on my smaller ereaders (former palma owner, own both the Xteink X4 and X3, as well as an Obook5). so long as you're okay with reading on the smaller screen, it's great to have something that's always in your pocket / bag / purse / on you in some way. Especially with the X4

Please deinfluence me! Boox Palma 2
I have a Kobo Libra 2 and a Boox Palma 2. Pangit user interface ni Palma, and mas mabilis maubos yung battery. Cute siya tingnan and very handy... kaso i dont think it's worth the price. Bought mine sa shopee for 18.3k.... and hindi ko nasulit siya kasi I still prefer my Kobo over it. I kinda regret

Getting this error message with my Kindle
i've got a kobo libre colour, moved from kindle and it's been great, use calibre for everything for managing it and moving files over. About to buy my wife the kobo clara colour to get her off the kindle stuff as well.
