Amazon to end support for older Kindles, prompting user outcry

I can't stand Bezos anymore and I try to boycott Amazon whenever possible. I gave up my Kindle and bought a Kobo Clara and buy epub books from Kobo store or 3rd party ebook vendors. Upload is really just copy and paste into the Clara. So far I haven't missed my Kindle once and can only recommend the

Color ereader, yes I know it wont be perfect, I still want to know what the best one is.

I have a Kindle colorsoft, kobo clara color and, a kobo libra color. The kobo libra is my favorite for comics. It has dropbox and Google Drive integration and it supports cbz files natively. That means that I don't have to fool around with trying convert my comics or copy them from my computer if I'

Leaving Kindle, advice for new e-reader

Why ask ChatGPT about it? It can’t tell you anything your own research won’t conclude. AI complaint aside, I personally have a Kobo Libra Colour and I love it. I picked it because it has buttons, a good amount of storage, and a good size screen. I use it for manga and ebooks. It’s easy to sideload c

Why I didn't like the Kobo Libra Colour (and am returning it)

I completely agree with these points. That send to kindle feature is part of the reason I stay as someone who primarily side loads. I have 3 kindles (which I prefer in sync) and a Clara colour. I could never fully switch to kobo. Too much manual moving around and I’m not trying to plug anything into

Kindle vs Kobo - advantages and disadvantages?

My Kobo Clara has never frozen nor needed restarting. I have read almost daily since I got it 4 moths ago. Send to kindle is a much bigger hassle than just plopping your e-reader in to your computer and side-load 100s of books with one click. My Kobo lasts 6 weeks easily (BW screen lasts longer than

Amazon to end support for older Kindles, prompting user outcry

I went from a Kindle Oasis and Paperwhite to a Kobo Libra Colour, and I love it. The color isn't anything amazing, but I really enjoy reading on it and it's big enough that I can read comics (though I do sometimes have to zoom in). i think the text on the Kobo Clara Colour would be too small for com

should I get an e-reader? even though my shelves are not filled to the brim with books? (rant, kind of.)

You can have 0 physical books and still be able to purchase an ereader. An ereader is just a tool for reading and there is no requirement that says you need to have a massive personal collection of physical books in order to own an ereader. Personally, I think the ereader makes me reead more than ph

Calling All Fanfic Authors: Thoughts on readers making their own fic covers?

If that can help, what I do to read fanfiction on my ereader (Kobo Clara Colour) is use Calibre to generate a basic cover with title and author, nothing fancy really but it's satsfying to at least have that.

E reader suggestions for Libby

A kobo Clara Colour or BW. If you go for kindle, it only works with US libraries and it wouldn’t work for cloudlibrary

Ditching your Kindle? Kobo is Canadian

Hah just ordered a Kobo Clara Colour yesterday!! Going to save so much $$$ borrowing library books instead of buying kindle books. The prices were getting ridiculous anyway. Like $17-18 for a novel that I can’t even hand to a friend after.
