Rega Planar 1 Plus, paired with The Sevens - regrets?
I have experience with the Rega Planar 1 Plus, as well as an older Pro-Ject table. You have nothing to regret about your purchase. The Planar 1 is a beautifully resolving package, and claims about the preamp being subpar are not worth your time. The Fluance TTs, in spite of their fans here, are not

New System Advice
A little outside the box, but right now Amazon has renewd Klipsch The Sevens active speakers on sale for $799.https://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-Heritage-Inspired-Powered-Speakers/dp/B0DVBMN3D4/?th=1 They're very well-reviewed and offer 100 watts per channel, a built in DAC, a sub output, and phono, dig

CD player for Klipsch The Sevens
The sevens have a phono input you can switch to “line”. If you are not using a turntable, then you can go CD player RCA to the Klipsch RCA, and that should bypass the Klipsch DAC. Second, there is 3.5 Aux input. You can get a 3.5 to dual RCA cable and connect the CD player to that. That should also

Help a Boomer out 😂
Lots of good suggestions already. I'll throw a pair of Klipsch The Sevens active (self-powered) speakers into the mix. They stream and have an internal DAC which means they function like your current Sonos speaker. The internal amps deliver 100 watts to each speaker. They've gotten lots of great rev

Looking for advice on ~$1k stereo setup for apartment (CDs, TV, streaming)
Take a look at the Klipsch The Sevens; active speakers with phono, digital (upgraded source), and HDMI (TV) inputs and a sub output. It leaves you with several ways to upgrade. It's also a system designed to perform as a unit (hehe); what they call synergy. As for the upgradability thought in genera

Heimabíógræjur og Sonos
Átti álíka dilemma og endaði með nútíma magnara í 3.0 hátalara fyrirkomulagi með alla mögulegu tengi möguleikunum, Spotify, hdmi o.s.frv. Bíður upp á mest seinna meir. Þekki nokkra í þessu sem enduðu í gæða stereo kerfum og sjá ekkert eftir að hafa ekki bak og hæða rásirnar. Sonos er frekar fínt en

Connect table via long cable or bluetooth
I have a AT-LP3XBT to Klipsch sevens via Aptx bluetooth and it sounds fantastic. The table is in a different room and a cable is not workable. Despite the noise(from audiophiles), in a blind test very few could hear any difference.

Replacing Stereo Speakers with HomePods – What Do I Need?
From all the things I’ve read here, HomePods can be quite unreliable speakers. I keep reading about connection issues etc. Love my HomePod as a standalone smart speaker but chose to go with a good stereo setup for TV and music. Way more reliable and if you have Apple TV you basically get a lot of th

Wiim Amp vs. Yamaha - Worth the Tradeoff?
If you think you might go Surround video someday get a multichannel AV. If not, a simple solution with less gear would be to buy a pair of amplified speakers with streaming, HDMI, digital and analog inputs and a subwoofer out. All in one, nothing else needed. I think it's the future for stereo. For

Soundbar/speakers to go with Bravia 9
It depends on what you want. If you want the best sound get a receiver and setup a traditional surround sound system or if you want a more simple set up get some good bookshelf speakers. That’ll sound better and be more affordable than any sound bar or wireless system. Try the Klipsch Sevens or Five
