ELAC DBR62 + Wiim Amp OR Klipsh The Sevens
Why would a streamer DAC amplifier last longer than powered speakers? I guess it is less costly to replace a Wiim than powered speakers. Anything with an app needing set up on a mobile phone isn't going to last as long as passive and active speakers do. If you consider ever going into surround sound

Rega Planar 1 Plus, paired with The Sevens - regrets?
I have experience with the Rega Planar 1 Plus, as well as an older Pro-Ject table. You have nothing to regret about your purchase. The Planar 1 is a beautifully resolving package, and claims about the preamp being subpar are not worth your time. The Fluance TTs, in spite of their fans here, are not

Still Young, Should I Wait To Figure Out What I Want When I Have A House?
This comment is spot on. You’re about to be very busy and mobile in the military. When I was in everyone had Walkmen and headphones and it was tapes or CDs. Been a long time now 😃 In my opinion, investing in some nice headphones with a good source that is small and mobile will let you hear great mus

ELAC DBR62 + Wiim Amp OR Klipsh The Sevens
The Klipsch Sevens are fantastic, but I've just read too many stories about them all of a sudden just not working anymore, and even while under warranty, Klipsch support is slow to resolve the issue (sending out a new plate amp), because half the time, they don't have any ;-(

Turntable advice
It’s a good table. I too like automatic tables as I’ve had my Dual 1219 for over 20 years. As far as speakers go, for $1200USD (about £890) you can get Klipsch The Sevens which are fantastic speakers and have a built in phono stage. Just get stands for them and you’ve got a great setup

CD player for Klipsch The Sevens
The sevens have a phono input you can switch to “line”. If you are not using a turntable, then you can go CD player RCA to the Klipsch RCA, and that should bypass the Klipsch DAC. Second, there is 3.5 Aux input. You can get a 3.5 to dual RCA cable and connect the CD player to that. That should also

Fluance RT85/85N vs project T2 super phono turntable
What is your total budget? You write, that you don’t want to upgrade and be set for some time. If so, the small speakers from those bundle deals won’t cut it, I think. The difference detween the Fluance are the phono carts. Ortofon is in my experience flatter / colder sounding, while Nagaoka is lush
