KEF Q Concerto Meta for 600 is a steal, and their bass extension is deep enough that in a small room you can do without a sub. You can always add one later of course.

I had an experience today that madee think of your situation. I've had a pair of Q concerto metas paired with a wiim amp ultra since Nov. Now with the Wiim's PEq capabilities (room correction + additional PEq filters) you can put something like 20 filters per channel. I did custome tuning with REW o
