anyone else in NJ suddenly paying attention to stuff they never cared about before? lol
I just use monitoring. Shortly after I got my house I installed an Emporia monitor in the breaker panel. I also have monitoring connected to my tankless boiler, and automated lighting. Water monitoring and automatic shutoff is coming next. If any of my bills seem out of whack, I compare to the data

Do chairs actually have a lifespan or am i just cursed?
I've had the same Humanscale Freedom chair for 7 years and it still looks brand new...and it has a 15 year warranty, so not really worried. Didn't have the same luck with Aeron (seat wore away within the first couple of years...known issue)...Knoll chair I had before that squeaked like hell and got

Where do you all get your ffice chairs from?
I have a Humanscale Freedom, which is great if you're on the smaller side. I got it from Office Resale. Refurbished secondhand chairs from office clearances seem to be the best option.

Chair recommendations
Humanscale Freedom Chair by Niels Diffrient is the one I usually suggest. Not cheap, but worth it and mine lasted more than a decade. This is very dependent on region, but many freelancers can write off items like task chairs out of thier taxes? If you work from home as an an employee, an OH report

why are ergonomic chairs so damn expensive?
How about Made in the USA from USA sourced parts and labor and not shipped straight from China? 15 year warranty for Humanscale chairs…and they have a one that maybe is not as advanced as their highest end Freedom headrest chair, but the World LM can be bought online all day for less than $500 with

welcoming r/officechairs regular contributor u/FOMOforRomo to the mod team.
Honored to be here, and very excited to step in! Love my AllSteel Task 19, it plus the leap is the 1-2 punch of ergonomics I needed! Chairs I have also used and liked in the past include the Humanscale Liberty and Freedom, BodyBilt 2504, HM Embody, my own Lamia, Herman Miller Celle, a butterfly back

Looking for a chair that fits a women
I’m guessing you’re petite. I’m 5’1 and have a chair without a headrest (HM Sayl) and a Steelcase leap with an atlas headrest. I have the headrest on the lowest height and it’s good for me. Took a few tries to adjust though. The gesture with headrest is terrible for me. I have heard the freedom chai

New to WFH: Standing Desk & Chair Recommendations?
I bought an almost new HumanScale Freedom Task chair 10 years ago. I've replaced the gel seat and arm pads 1x. It's the best chair I've ever owned. Retails $1,300-$1,800 new. Worth every penny.
