I just started my first 8am-5pm office job in my 40s and was not prepared for how physically/mentally exhausted I would feel. What are your tips?

Set a pomodoro timer where you work for 25 minutes and take a 5 minute break. forces you to get out of the chair. Also the chair could be the issue. You could ask if you can get a more ergonomic chair like an Aeron or Humanscale Freedom chair. Companies dont want to have to deal with workplace injur

Sitting for 7-8 hrs per day

It's quite expensive but I've been sitting in the humanscale freedom task chair for 5 years now, sometimes with 10 hour stretches and my back has been fine, the chair before that I was sore all the time. I found mine at a used office furniture store so paid less than 50% of what it is new. Probably

anyone else in NJ suddenly paying attention to stuff they never cared about before? lol

I just use monitoring. Shortly after I got my house I installed an Emporia monitor in the breaker panel. I also have monitoring connected to my tankless boiler, and automated lighting. Water monitoring and automatic shutoff is coming next. If any of my bills seem out of whack, I compare to the data

Looking for any furniture or office stores that have high end computer chairs (Herman Miller and the like) to sit in before purchasing in Spokane

Little known fact. A lot of Herman miller chairs come in different sizes. Getting fit by a professional is important if you’re not bog standard five eight to five ten and 150lb. I’m six four 240 and have short legs for my frame. I have a size c Aeron with a size b seat. Humanscale, steelcase both of

Office chair for a woman who works long hours?

I have a refurbished Humanscale Freedom, which is great if you're on the smaller side. I got it from Office Resale. My issue with a lot of chairs is that the distance between my knees and hips is shorter than the depth of the seat so I can't have my back against the backrest and my feet on the floor

looking for autistic friendly desk/office chair

I got the Humanscale Freedom and love it. It has a super wide seat so I can sit cross-legged, a lot of depth so I can sit with my knees up comfortably, the seat and backrest are super comfy, the backrest reclines, and the arm rests go all the way down to seat level for when I need more elbow room.
