Absolutely, 100% buy your chair at a used / pre-owned / refurbished office furniture store. That class of furniture is forever repairable with abundant parts available. You will pay a couple hundred dollars for a chair that sells for over a thousand dollars there. Aeron is way overrated. It's become

Little known fact. A lot of Herman miller chairs come in different sizes. Getting fit by a professional is important if you’re not bog standard five eight to five ten and 150lb. I’m six four 240 and have short legs for my frame. I have a size c Aeron with a size b seat. Humanscale, steelcase both of

I've had the same Humanscale Freedom chair for 7 years and it still looks brand new...and it has a 15 year warranty, so not really worried. Didn't have the same luck with Aeron (seat wore away within the first couple of years...known issue)...Knoll chair I had before that squeaked like hell and got

Honored to be here, and very excited to step in! Love my AllSteel Task 19, it plus the leap is the 1-2 punch of ergonomics I needed! Chairs I have also used and liked in the past include the Humanscale Liberty and Freedom, BodyBilt 2504, HM Embody, my own Lamia, Herman Miller Celle, a butterfly back

I have a Humanscale Freedom, which is great if you're on the smaller side. I got it from Office Resale. Refurbished secondhand chairs from office clearances seem to be the best option.

i've been using Neutral Posture 8000 for a couple of yrs. Have gone thru aeron size c, gesture, nightingale cxo, btod akir, and have tried leap, fern, and embody. Every chair had issues - aeron's mesh seat, gesture's seat depth, cxo's lumbar, akir's bottoming out seat - NP's not perfect either, lumb

Humanscale Freedom Chair by Niels Diffrient is the one I usually suggest. Not cheap, but worth it and mine lasted more than a decade. This is very dependent on region, but many freelancers can write off items like task chairs out of thier taxes? If you work from home as an an employee, an OH report

lol I’m 5’ 0” and 95lbs and I went to a seller who let me sit in ALL the fancy chairs (Herman Miller, Humanscale Freedom, and the Steelcases), and the Leap V2 basic version beat out every single one of them. Best. Chair. Ever.
