I have an Omen 14 Transcend laptop (Core Ultra 9 285H, RTX 5070) and noticed the same thing. CPU would go up to 100 degrees and start thermal throttling. Only happened in Hunt, despite having manually adjusted PL1, PL2 and PL4 power limits. Ended up just disabling CPU boost entirely for when I play.

VR and laptop in the same sentence in most cases should be a crime. only if your not deliberate like me, but since i bought mine half a year before getting my quest 3 i made that shit work as PCVR was not worth missing. price point is great for getting ur foot in the door. I got my ($1500) Omen Tran

Its a 14 inch laptop. There is only so many places for the heat to go. I had the Omen Transcend 14 before my G14 and it was just as loud and hot when gaming but the performance was worse.

Its probably a thermal paste issue. I repasted mine, mostly out of fear it was using that HP liquid metal paste because I had to stick mine vertically into a backpack for extended periods. Turns out, HP didn't use the liquid metal paste anyways but regardless, I repasted it with Thermal Grizzly Phas

For a laptop I would reccomend a HP Omen Transcend 14 or the Asus g14 and wait for a black friday sale or something. Only gripe I have with gaming laptops, especially the thin and light ones that I reccomend is that they throttle the wattage on the GPUs. Personally I am a heavy gamer, but if I had t

Hi, technician here. I would say, for the best specs, at that price, go with HP. As some have pointed out, they have the Omen and Victus series. Victus is a budget Omen, and you mostly see the distinction in minor details around the chassis design, inside build, fans, or screen type. I won't get int

As someone who own both an Omen Transcend 14 (Core Ultra 9 185h/RTX 4070) as well as an Asus laptop (Rog Strix G16, Core Ultra 9 275hx/5070ti) I can't in good faith recommend an Asus device as I had to have my entire motherboard replaced just 2 months after purchase due to it completely dying (cover

This is common. Just invest in a good mini vacuum with brush and it will suck all the dust in while you are brushing. Do this as soon as you see this under your lappy. In some laptops you can see the fans somewhat. If u see dust accumulate there you can most certainly open up and use same vaccuum an

I use a HP Omen Transcend 14" for work, travel and study and I love it. For context, I'm not a student I'm an IT professional so I do tend to keep it plugged in and it is frequently docked as well to a pair of docking monitors so be mindful that may colour my experience a bit. Overall though the 16:

A.I. slop---> The HP Omen Transcend 14 (5060) is a premium 14-inch gaming laptop praised for its sleek design, beautiful OLED display, and good CPU performance. However, its gaming performance is limited by a lower GPU wattage (TGP) compared to competitors, non-upgradeable RAM, and the potential for
