I have an Omen 14 Transcend laptop (Core Ultra 9 285H, RTX 5070) and noticed the same thing. CPU would go up to 100 degrees and start thermal throttling. Only happened in Hunt, despite having manually adjusted PL1, PL2 and PL4 power limits. Ended up just disabling CPU boost entirely for when I play.

Oh I HATE this so much. My Omen Transcend 14 does this. Eco mode will get you 10 hours on my laptop with the RTX 4060 disabled, but the only things it is useful for are video playback and typing. Most laptops in general these days are very sharp. My Omen Transcend 14 has one of those ubiquitous 14” 1800p OLEDs. 242 ppi with pretty decent brightness. It’s great (I’d love an M4 Pro but they were too much money for me)

Its a 14 inch laptop. There is only so many places for the heat to go. I had the Omen Transcend 14 before my G14 and it was just as loud and hot when gaming but the performance was worse.

TLDR; I’m in the middle of a similar situation and it’s a tough choice giving up MacOS, great Mac build quality, and superior battery life, in return for better gaming performance, Windows, and worse battery life.
