It did run pretty hot though there's some sort of package you can install for like MB Pro fan controller module thing because I guess Linux doesn't nativ

Hp Omen 17, 32gb ram, i9 13900hx, rtx 4080. It runs, barely. 150k+ cities lag a lot, only reduced after installed several mods. Also fans blasting full power most of the time. I put the settings all on High and dlss on automatic, so there's almost no graphical lag.

May not be helpful but my laptop is a HP omen 17", I only have a 4050 in it so this may be the reason but it is silent no matter what game or tasks I am doing, I think their cooling solution in the 17" just works really well. Shame HP is not the best for service etc but I would imagine their 17" mod

ngl the 4090 mobile still beats the 5070 ti in raw fps for most games, especially at 1440p. i'd grab the Omen 4090 if the price is similar - that 175w tdp gives you way more headroom. the 5070 ti has better frame gen but loses in raster. also that omen's 240hz screen is nice. just check if you can u

man the hp support is the worst.. they dont know how their own product works and they cant even redirect you to somebody who does. the amount of issues ive had with my "premium" "high-end" omen 17 is ridiculous. i will never forgive myself for wasting so much money on something so openly bad... stuf

HP Omen, I run an omen 17 and its loaded with a i9 and 4090 with 32gb of ram and upgraded to 5tb of storage, was basically best specs when I purchased it but im sure they have better now still runs amazing

i can only recommend the laptop i use literally daily, hp omen 17 i7 13th gen rtx 4060. play every game cyberpunk, hogwarts legacy, cs, anything ive tried to play on high and even with ultra rt have ran perfect.
