Resin printing "arms race" over?
Same as before. Expect 12 months between cycles. This year was odd, printers got released on a shorter cycle. The Saturn 4 Ultra 16K was probably supposed to be the Saturn 5, but Elegoo released it early (only 7-8 months after the Saturn 4/4 Ultra). Probably because Uniformation was releasing the 16

Looking to replace my current printers. Need input from professionals
+1 for heygears. The Reflex RS Turbo is the best hobby printer on the market right now imo. With the slicer and settings opening up next quarter there’s no downside. Plus I’ve run a bunch of non-heygears resin using the built in presets and I’ve never had a failure yet

I'm very confused about which printer to get
Miniatures are easy. Mechanical parts not so much. I suggest reading Jan Mrazek’s blog to understand what’s needed to print dimensionally accurate parts. That or buy a Form4… The consumer resin printer market is heavily optimized for printing miniatures, figures, etc. Spending more in this space doe

Printer advice
Anycubic is a non-starter imho. Poor support, poor QC (and the bar is low as is), and no per layer wait times. Elegoo is the best of the budget tier. The Saturn 3 non-Ultra is probably the best bang for your buck printer available right now, if it’s available in your region. At the high end sits the

Printer recommendations on 2026?
There are maybe 4 or 5 good quality affordable options right now but each has a downside. These are the models I’d consider & why I’d be hesitant. Heygears Reflex RS Turbo - too locked down and upgrading for the heated vat is an extra expense. Messy flat build plate. Anycubic P1/P1 Max - I’m unsure

Anycubic M7 or Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra?
Anycubics are a larger gamble in terms of QC than Elegoo. A lot of M7s come with concave plates. On top of that, Anycubics can't use per layer wait times, so they have even more trouble with adhesion than other auto-leveling printers, especially with low cure depth resins (light colored/high detail)

What printers are everyone using?
Like most things I spend a few months going back and forth before making a decision. I looked at them after seeing Fauxhammers videos on YouTube. That was back when they released the original Reflex. What made me not buy it was the cost and given that I didn’t do much or enjoy resin printing with th

Suggestions for next printer?
If the Saturn 3 (non-Ultra) is available to you, it's the best bang for your buck and last of the non auto-leveling printers worth buying. Usually less than $270. Heygears is running a sale on the Reflex RS for $499, which is the lowest that printer has ever been. It's probably the only auto-levelin

For the exaclty same price: M7 Pro or Saturn 4 Ultra 16K
Anycubic has the worst QC in the industry right now. If you like playing the lottery and losing, but the Anycubic. I’m surprised you have had a good experience with customer service as they also have the worst customer experience I know of. Long term parts support is also non-existent. That said, th

Need some advice on a resin machine
The closest thing to a Bambu in resin is Heygears. The M7s main problem stems from auto-leveling and not having the tools to deal with the downsides, namely per layer settings and any sort of Z adjustment. The M7s other main problem is just Anycubic's poor QC. All of the auto-leveling printers on th
