Resin printing "arms race" over?
Same as before. Expect 12 months between cycles. This year was odd, printers got released on a shorter cycle. The Saturn 4 Ultra 16K was probably supposed to be the Saturn 5, but Elegoo released it early (only 7-8 months after the Saturn 4/4 Ultra). Probably because Uniformation was releasing the 16

Looking to replace my current printers. Need input from professionals
Yeah Anycubic long term support is ass. I own an M3 Premium and they ended support for them almost 2 years ago, yet I can still order parts (other than LCDs) for my Saturn 2s from Elegoo... which are the same age as the M3 Premium. Heygears is supposed to open up some of their settings later this ye

We are looking to get a couple of resin printers for our engineering department.
FDM printing experience really doesn’t translate to resin, you might as well accept you are starting over. My understanding is Formlabs is the only real option as a commercial grade resin printing system. Everything below that is ‘consumer’ grade and comes with a whole host of problems, challenges,

Printer advice
Anycubic is a non-starter imho. Poor support, poor QC (and the bar is low as is), and no per layer wait times. Elegoo is the best of the budget tier. The Saturn 3 non-Ultra is probably the best bang for your buck printer available right now, if it’s available in your region. At the high end sits the

Printer recommendations on 2026?
No problem! I realized I accidentally said Reflex in the first post when I meant Reflex RS so my bad, edited to correct it to avoid confusion. This printer at its price point is a godsend and its insanely reliable. I have 3k hours, haven't had to replace the screen yet and have had seriously zero fa

I'm so tired of cracking my LCD screen...
In general, when my print fail I will always do a tank clean using clean function. It do not requires you empty the vat and only take a minute. HeyGears Reflex RS have a pressure sensor that will stop print if it detect foreign object on tank (I think Saturn 4 have similar feature but I have not see

Saturn 4 Ultra 16k or Uniformation GK 2/3
Uniformation is having just as many issues with QC as the other manufacturers now, but cost twice as much. The GK2 is an antique (was dated in certain ways from launch) and can’t set Z offset in anything smaller than 1mm increments. GK3, haven’t seen many people with the midsize GK3. I do know someo

Looking for a powerhouse of a 3D Printer
At work time is money and Heygears machines save time. I fill the auto fill bottle with third party resin as well and it works great. Just know that if you plan to print engineering resins you need the Reflex or Reflex 2. The Reflex RS doesnt support a lot of engineering resins and is more designed

What are the Best 3d printers at different price points?
Heygears Reflex RS Turbo. If minis are your main goal, resin is the way to go and Heygears has a no bs experience; self leveling, no need to know any settings or values, just import models, add supports, slice, send to printer and print. You dont need to use their resin, you can use third party like

What’s the *Best* Resin for Minis?
I personally love my Heygears reflex rs but I don't buy their resin because of the price so throw that in the ring. The tighter ecosystem doesn't let you modify many settings due to what they claim is "perfectly dialed in settings for our unique resin recipe" for near $60 a kilo. Bought one bottle w
