GMKTec Evo -T1 temps

Haven't received an EVO-T1 in for inspection, with the 115W MTP Core Ultra 9 285H known for running higher temperatures compared to its AMD equivalents. Reviews have been sparse on the EVO-T1, although this one points out seeing 100°C during testing I have worked on some 285H laptops, yet I haven't

GMKTec Evo -T1 temps

I am leaning towards a poorly installed cooling system with low-grade globs of thermal paste as the culprit. If it weren't for the warranty, I would be unscrewing things but as I said, I would like to see what other owners of the GMKTec Evo-T1 have to say first.

i9-13900HK vs U9-285H

You're still not smart enough to read after giving you the benefit of the doubt. You're still reading power consumption at the receptacle. Even when running large AI models, the noise is perfectly tolerable. In fact, the fan in my external hard drive enclosure is louder. As to reliabi

Gmktec k11 and 1mm thick ptm7950

Do you have enough to double it up? Ryzen R9 runs pretty hot yes? Plus the copper (where the heat transfers from the CPU) on my GMKTec EvO T1 wasn't the smoothest. Not sure but the k11 copper looks similar.

Buying mini PC directly from GMKtec, Beelink, or Minisforum vs Amazon — worth the savings?

I had reservations about ordering from GMKtec directly, but I honestly had a decent experience. Mainly ordered from them directly because it was the only place to get the barebones version. Ordered the new EVO-T1 AI on July 28th. I got a little nervous because it spent more than a few days simply "a
