I am leaning towards a poorly installed cooling system with low-grade globs of thermal paste as the culprit. If it weren't for the warranty, I would be unscrewing things but as I said, I would like to see what other owners of the GMKTec Evo-T1 have to say first.

Even if your unit is new, it will get from factory build very poor thermal paste quality and it will be poorly applied, i strongly suggest you to repaste your CPU with Quality Artic thermal paste. Do you have enough to double it up? Ryzen R9 runs pretty hot yes? Plus the copper (where the heat transfers from the CPU) on my GMKTec EvO T1 wasn't the smoothest. Not sure but the k11 copper looks similar.
