Who is waiting to the Steam Frame and who doesnt care?
Kevin refers to a top-notch "bang-for-buck" router that supports WiFi 6E. It's really well priced, but the name comes from that the router looks like Kevin, from the Minions movies LOL. Also to inform others, this is the suggested list of best routers per VirtualDesktop Discord: (Preferred BE/Wifi 7

Beware…
I keep seeing people compare it to the gli.net, Ubiquiti did that in one of their videos I no longer seem to have the link to, so they kinda brought that on themselves. Everything since then is a combination of us not letting them forget that and their stupid plastic soap bar being hot garbage by co

Satellite internet?
That sounds pretty good. I'm actually getting a lot of obstruction right now, since I'm parked under a tree, but the position ironically gives me a lot of sun from the roof-mounted solar panels. I'm thinking the obstruction could increase power draw. In my original testing my dish was only drawing a

Portal went from great to worst
I bought a cheap travel wifi router (GL.iNet GL-SFT1200) and gave it a wired connection to the network. This is my exclusive portal wifi and it has been rock solid. As others have said, a dedicated router fixes everything and you don’t need to spend a lot.

Skip wifi dongles, get a pocket router and brdige your network. Going to be much stronger. https://www.amazon.com/GL-iNet-GL-SFT1200-Secure-Travel-Router/dp/B09N72FMH5/?_encodi $35 I can sustain like 700Mbps on this guy, so that's more than enough for any Stern updates.

Is this true ?
It works fine for presenting or watching a movie in 1080p (no artifacts, ripping or stuttering). I'm often screen sharing from my desktop (with wifi antenna as the solution is Wifi Direct based) or work laptop on a Samsung S95F TV. My router (GL.iNet GL-SFT1200 - 5ghz network without wifi7 fireworks

Best or Recommended Repeater "not extender" like a travel router?
I've got GL.iNet GL-SFT1200 (Opal) and it works fine except the bandwidth is totally limited. The latest one is kind of very expensive for me =(

I set up NordVPN on this cheap "Opal" router that supports OpenVPN, and it works, but with a tremendous loss of speed vs. the Nord app running on my computer. I went from 650 mps down to less than 10 mps! Are there faster OpenVPN routers out there that don't cost too much?
https://dl.gl-inet.com/router/sft1200/beta Firmware beta. There's a setting in the web UI for the Opal to allow preview firmware, but I find the webpage features a beta sooner. You can also revert to stable firmware if there are any issues, and if you go into Luci (through System > Advanced Settings
