Who is waiting to the Steam Frame and who doesnt care?
Kevin refers to a top-notch "bang-for-buck" router that supports WiFi 6E. It's really well priced, but the name comes from that the router looks like Kevin, from the Minions movies LOL. Also to inform others, this is the suggested list of best routers per VirtualDesktop Discord: (Preferred BE/Wifi 7

Beware…
I keep seeing people compare it to the gli.net, Ubiquiti did that in one of their videos I no longer seem to have the link to, so they kinda brought that on themselves. Everything since then is a combination of us not letting them forget that and their stupid plastic soap bar being hot garbage by co

Is an htc vive og still worth for vr gaming?
That will be a extremely huge downgrade compared to your Quest 3 (what I think you use). What you need is a Wifi router (I recommend the GL.iNet GL-SFT1200 (Opal), or if you want something easier to setup and Wifi 6 the PrismXR Puppis S1 Lite), not an extremely old and bad headset by todays standard

Stern IC ongoing saga….
Skip wifi dongles, get a pocket router and brdige your network. Going to be much stronger. https://www.amazon.com/GL-iNet-GL-SFT1200-Secure-Travel-Router/dp/B09N72FMH5/?_encodi $35 I can sustain like 700Mbps on this guy, so that's more than enough for any Stern updates.

tethering ipad experience
i ran into this exact issue last month when my ipad wouldn't connect to my camera's wifi. usb-c tethering is way more stable than the hotspot mode - it never drops. the GL.iNet GL-SFT1200 has a usb-c port that powers the router while keeping your ipad charging through pass-through. the connection st

Setting up Jet KVM in a Co-Working Space
GL.iNet GL-SFT1200 (Opal) Portable WiFi Travel Router, $35 on Amazon (less if on sale). I have one with two JetKVMs plugged into it and it works great. IF you need a VPN, the GL.iNet router OS supports setting up a VPN (in case the co-working network has firewall issues that require you use a VPN to

cheap router to get SQM/OPENWRT.
It worked for me, see my post above. I was using a GLI net Beryl Mt1300 that I got for $20 on Amazon. They're discontinued because there's a newer Beryl, but it is around $86. Looks like it works on the opal, so maybe worth trying for that price https://forum.gl-inet.com/t/sft1200-opal-sqm-if-a-dev-c

I set up NordVPN on this cheap "Opal" router that supports OpenVPN, and it works, but with a tremendous loss of speed vs. the Nord app running on my computer. I went from 650 mps down to less than 10 mps! Are there faster OpenVPN routers out there that don't cost too much?
https://dl.gl-inet.com/router/sft1200/beta Firmware beta. There's a setting in the web UI for the Opal to allow preview firmware, but I find the webpage features a beta sooner. You can also revert to stable firmware if there are any issues, and if you go into Luci (through System > Advanced Settings
