You misunderstood everything. You aren't changing your main router, wiring a cable from your main router or getting a huge device. The setup I'm talking about (and that I use) is to get a router just for your headset and that you directly plug on your PC via Ethernet. I generally recommend the GL.iN

Get a GL.iNet GL-SFT1200... they are great little low powered routers that allow you to share a Wi-Fi signal connection to 2-wired devices. Has a lot of great features as well.
