MT76 Development for Flint 2?
Flint 2 has FEMs (front-end modules) that sit in between the Wi-Fi radios and the antennas to boost range. The mt76 driver supports these FEMs which allows maximum legal TX power for most countries on the Flint 2, but the MTK driver/OEM firmware will often boost the signal using the FEMs to above th

adguard vpn is it worth it?
Their VPN app includes the excellent AdGuard Private DNS for free. They currently have a great deal if you buy AdGuard Family and AdGuard VPN. If you have already bought AdGuard Family, get the 5 year plan for AdGuard VPN (which also includes AdGuard Private DNS) and use code 'retail30' on checkout

Anyone secretly nomading with their company laptop? What happened?
It isn't that difficult to do if you use the right equipment. I highly recommend GL.iNet routers for doing it. This site does a walk through of it: https://thewirednomad.com/vpn I would use the Flint 2 at home and a Slate 7 or Beryl AX for the travel side. Make sure you setup goodcloud on the router

First travel router to accompany the day
Di rumah pake GL.iNet Flint 2. Memang terbaik nih router. Wireguard nya kencang, bisa set VPN tertentu per device. Install zapret gampang. Sampai sekarang masih awet.

Gaming on ethernet what router
https://www.amazon.com/GL-iNet-GL-MT6000-Multi-Gig-Connectivity-WireGuard/dp/B0CP7S3117 Unless you need specific features I wouldn't buy anything more expensive than a Flint 2. Make sure your PC has a 2.5Gb capable ethernet port. If not you can add one for $20. Also place the ISP provided router int

Leaptel speed on 1000/50mbps - what is your actual speed?
Yes... I was using this one too last night. Forgot to mentioned. Thanks! I think I have to experiment with my original router as well. On the 250/100, I was using OPNSense router and now on 1000/50, I am using GL-iNet Flint 2 for the sake of the 2.5gbe WAN and WAN/LAN ports.

Converge and GL iNet
I have GL-iNet setups (Flint 2 + Beryl AX). VPN works although I have Public IP. For CGNAT, I recommend using Tailscale instead (GL-iNet routers natively support Tailscale but not as an exit node/server, only client mode), so instead, you can use an always-on device like Android TV or Apple TV, inst

Advice needed on non hyperoptic router
I purchased a GL.iNet GL-MT6000(Flint 2) router, and it's honestly one of the best routers I've ever used.It was pretty much plug in and away you go. Wait for it to go on offer though, you can get it for around £110.

Want a Sanity check before I go and spend $600 on Equipment
Yes the Flint 2 is running Openwrt so it absolutely does have a firewall. And it's a great router that's generally more consumer end user friendly than Ubiquiti and cheaper than the equivalent sized cloud gateway, in OP's configuration though I would probably go with a UCG just so they have a single

Be3600 vs GE230
This is the one i'd recommend: https://www.amazon.com/GL-iNet-GL-MT6000-Multi-Gig-Connectivity-WireGuard/dp/B0CP7S3117?sr=8-1 Glinet runs openwrt and is very configurable for your upcoming lab. You can use the easy interface to get it setup at first just so you're up and running quick, then dive dee
