Geekom Air12 Lite owner here. Same as the rest, it's good for a first cheap server with a nice hardware transcoding (for Plex / Jellyfin) and very low power consumption. I used these guides for the LAN driver: https://github.com/dante1613/Motorcomm-YT6801/ I'm running Ubuntu Server, but if you use P

Mini PC Recommendations for Jellyfin Server (already have some parts)
Here I'm using a Geekom Air12 Lite, also with Intel N150, a cheap processor from early 2025 that has QuickSync hardware transcoding (it can decode every format, but encode in HEVC and H264 but not AV1). I don't know if there's a newer CPU at the same price, but this one has a nice linux support nowa

Geekom Mini Air 12
Coming from more than 40 years of PC repair, I understand where you're coming from. For better or worse, as u/cowbutt6 pointed out, PCs with UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) sometimes require substantially more BIOS firmware updates has they did in the past. UEFI provides low-level softw

Beginner w/ Linux, New PC
I have bought a Geekom Air12 Lite for homelab, but it had an obscure ethernet nic (Motorcomm). I had installed Ubuntu Server 24.04 LTS and the ethernet driver following a guide without more issues. Now it's working great 👌 You can also install Cockpit or Webmin if you want to manage your server easi

Geekom Air 12 - ram upgrade to 32gb?
Thank you for your reply. That's unfortunate, N150 intel specs show max supported ram is 16GB but many people have succesfully upgraded their beelink and gmktec devices without problem, but those are ddr4, still I believe it could be possible for the air12. Regarding the Wodposit modules, I've read

Geekom Air 12 - ram upgrade to 32gb?
I have now checked the following using Bios version 2.22.1293 - these are the options I found in the bios: In the Power Management Configuration - EuP function [Enabled] Power-on after Power-fail [Disabled] PowerOn by RTC Alarm [Disabled] Wake Up by Lan [Disabled] In the CPU Configuration - Active E

Geekom Air 12 - ram upgrade to 32gb?
After few weeks of research, unsuccessfully trying to boot the minipc with the above module (CT32G48C40S5.M16D1) and not giving up on this matter, it is in fact possible to upgrade Geekom Mini Air 12 to use 32GBs of RAM despite a dual-rank configuration. Based on u/Stepyon research, and sharing his

I recommend a reliable Mini PC
Be careful with your peripheral needs. I just bought and am returning a Geekom Mini Air12 since it won't pass POST when connected via USB-C to my monitor with builtin KVM switch instead of having a Keyboard directly connected. Using it headless may not be as straightforward as you'd hope.

Server Running Home Assistant, Homebridge & Matterbridge via Docker
GEEKOM Air12 can run Home Assistant, Homebridge & Matterbridge via Docker, but 7 webcams might be too much for the N150. For smoother performance, consider a higher-end model like GEEKOM A5 or GEEKOM A6.

Geekom Mini Air12 Lite N150 early impressions
It's weird, i have the other Geekom Air12 with 2 USB C ports and so far my experience is rather underwhelming, i am starting to think i lost the silicon lottery on this one. First off Windows 11 chugs so badly it even on basic tasks like general browsing, looking it the performance through task mana
