MiniPC Recommendation?

I am not 80, but am 62. I bought a Geekom Air12 for less than $200 on Amazon and it has been rock solid.

Goodbye Beelink S12

The time span comes from ownership duration of owners who have brought theirs in for diagnostics/repair. Understand that the majority of Alder Lake-N/Twin Lake mPCs is the cost-cutting "race to the bottom". This has been especially true with the AZW manufactured MINI S12 & it's earlier releases. So

Best MiniPC for multimedia hosting under $200

For all intents & purposes in comparing Intel QSV, until Phoenix/RDNA3 AMD transcoding for most purposes were non-existent. Not a matter of being worse, simply absent by contemporary standards. While any Alder Lake-N/Twin Lake mPC should suffice, @ $200 USD I've personally become quite fond of the G

Looking for a budget Mini pc for office work that won't crap out in a month

First, understand that Alder Lake-N/Twin Lake mPCs are generally "a race to the bottom", where cost-cutting is the goal & expectations for failure can be relatively on. "You get what you pay for..." Alternately, & to some extent "ironically", the Geekom Mini Air12 appears to be in a class of its own

KAMRUI/FIREBAT AK2 PLUS

The majority have a failure within the PMIC (low quality components?) & the mPC simply stops working. Random reboots & HDMI output failure is also quite common. Found a couple where the Wi-Fi card failed, taking out the system. In general, these Atom Celeron CPU powered mPCs are built with maximum c

Geekom Mini Air 12

Coming from more than 40 years of PC repair, I understand where you're coming from. For better or worse, as u/cowbutt6 pointed out, PCs with UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) sometimes require substantially more BIOS firmware updates has they did in the past. UEFI provides low-level softw

Geekom Air 12 - ram upgrade to 32gb?

Thank you for your reply. That's unfortunate, N150 intel specs show max supported ram is 16GB but many people have succesfully upgraded their beelink and gmktec devices without problem, but those are ddr4, still I believe it could be possible for the air12. Regarding the Wodposit modules, I've read

Man these are getting good

I have purchased two GEEKOM Air12 Mini PC's with the Intel N150 processor for only $169 each. I couldn't be happier. I don't do gaming and wanted one to use as a Bitcoin Full Node. They run quiet, are built like a tank, and have never had even one glitch. Since I'm not a gamer, I didn't need the hig

I recommend a reliable Mini PC

Be careful with your peripheral needs. I just bought and am returning a Geekom Mini Air12 since it won't pass POST when connected via USB-C to my monitor with builtin KVM switch instead of having a Keyboard directly connected. Using it headless may not be as straightforward as you'd hope.
