any mini PC recommendations for a casual gamer?

I bought a GEEKOM A9 Max for myself to game on. My previous mini is good, still is, but my games like Sims and Fortnite were not doing so well anymore on it with the recent updates. My friend said GEEKOM was one of the top recommended PCs on his most trusted PC website for all things computer. This

Need a reliable mini PC . Should I ditch Windows and go Mac Mini?

I have both: The M4 Mac mini and the Geekom A9 Mac. I may just be lucky but the A9 Max has been fine. I’ve only had it since last December but it has been reliable so far. The m4 mini has been fine as well but the A9 Max gets more use. I do use both occasionally to connect to work machines. I prefer

For me the Geekom A9 max works great with Fedora Silverblue. No issue, everything works. The only thing I didnt think about, its and AMD machine and it doesn't support Thunderbolt. So be it

End of low cost Mini PC (Non Mac)

Yeah, it's been great though for repurposing older M1 hardware and if you want a break from the ecosystem, it's an option. I have an older Beelink SER5 that I put cachyos on after getting a newer Windows 11 minipc and it's been pretty good. Good enough that I may soon install it over the Windows 11

Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 96GB, good deal for 1500?

I'm quite happy with my geekom A9 mega (same strix halo with 128 GB) but it's hard to run certain stuff due to low general support. All goes to the damn Nvida and cuda.

Best GEEKOM PC Alternative to Mac Mini M4 for Web Design, Content Creation & Occasional Gaming

The paradox here is memory. To achieve parody with Apple's unified memory support & the absence of LPCAMM, like Apple soldered LPDDR5/LPDDR5x memory produces the closest maximum bandwidth. Otherwise one is stuck with slower, higher power consumption/heat dissipation SODIMM. Geekom's only LPDDR5x mPC

Geekom A9 Max for Linux

On the webpage you linked it says they support Linux. From the NotebookCheck review They are using Mediatek MT7925 which has kernel support since kernel 6.7, other than that the rest is pretty "standard" components. For light gaming you can view the Notebookcheck review and look at their Dota2 rebor
