What's one expensive thing you bought... but totally DON’T regret?

Garmin Fenix 7 Pro (SS) reminds me to workout daily, tracks every activity, syncs with Healthy 365 app. In built flash light - sounds dumb but I use it daily as I’m an early bird. Only have to charge it once a fortnight 🤙

Your favourite smartwatch?

I used to be in your shoes. Battery life is still Apple Watch’s Achilles heal. The Garmin Fenix 8 is pointlessly expensive So I have TWO recommendations for you: Garmin Fenix 7: I still can’t come up with a reason to get the 8. The 7 does everything you need it to but… So does the Garmin Fenix 5! Fi

Using ,,pause,, on trail running

Don’t need to pause on advanced watches. With my Fenix 7, when in Ultra Run mode, if I physically stop it will assume I’m at an aid station and start counting that as non-moving time.

Out with the new, in with the old!

You have picked one of the greatest watches Garmin has released ever, IMO. The Fenix 7 Pro SS is one of the goats.

Fenix E has too little space to add North America topo map

Just return the E. It’s an insult to customers and you can get a fenix 7 pro or similar watches for less or the same which are miles better

Treadmill and Watch Disparity

Your watch is estimating your distance based on your running cadence compared to your average metrics for stride length, vertical oscillation, etc. That is to say that the watch does a pretty good job of guessing, considering the only data it's really getting from you is cadence and inferring the re

Garmin Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar (47 mm) or Polar Grit X2?

I had the Fenix 7 Pro and sold it for the Polar Grit X2 Pro. Reason: simplicity. Polar gives me exactly what I need without unnecessary features. The HRV/Orthostatic test with the H10 is accurate and useful for training decisions. With Garmin I always felt overwhelmed by functions I didn’t use. Also

Is instinct 3 useable for running?

I use the Instinct 2 and it is perfect, I run about the same amount and it has been great. i have used the fenix 7 and Corros watches as well. i LOVE my instinct because of the torch and looks the best.

Move to Polar?

I recently switched from garmin f7 to vantage v3 and i'm glad i did that. I just run, bike and swim, but i also like the recovery/night info and i don't like all the not needed -expensive- extra's. It's not a real smartwatch with tons of notifications and i'm happy about it. Just make the switch and

Apple Watch Ultra 3 as a phone

I was using my 4G Samsung watch as a dumb phone for a bit before I got my Garmin Fenix 7. The Garmin is more of what I need for biking and running, but I do miss the 4G smart watch sometimes. I currently daily a Nokia flip phone and my laptop.
