Garmin Fenix 7X Pro Solar. The F7 was the first with touchscreen, which makes using maps much easier. And, battery life is outstanding

Garmin Epix 2 vs Suunto Race 2
Are you sure about Garmin discontinuing the support for Epix 2? In my understanding they do not offer the new features for ”F7 line-up” buy do bring any essential security updates and bug fixes. Anyhow, I do understand your frustration towards Garmin as I’ve spied the conversations and updates about

Garmin Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar (47 mm) or Polar Grit X2?
I had the Fenix 7 Pro and sold it for the Polar Grit X2 Pro. Reason: simplicity. Polar gives me exactly what I need without unnecessary features. The HRV/Orthostatic test with the H10 is accurate and useful for training decisions. With Garmin I always felt overwhelmed by functions I didn’t use. Also

Fenix 7 or 8 dilemma
Fenix 7 has rubber rings, so pressing buttons underwater, water can find its way in. Garmin does seem pretty good about dealing with it under warranty, however, the 8 has induction buttons so there is no holes for water to get through.

Bit disappointed in Fenix 8 (coming from Fenix 6+7)
I‘m also disappointed, coming from the 7. Some, at least for me important stuff doesn’t even work at all. Amazon Music for example cannot be registered to the watch. Garmin Support takes weeks now to figure it out. Seems to be a general problem with the fenix 8 MIPS in 47mm. Also maps+ doesn’t rende

Fenix 8 Pro is useless...
Garmin traded my F7 SS for a F7 Pro Solar a few months ago due to software updates making it not sync with my stationary bike anymore. I feel like for my use case the pro lasts a bit longer than the SS did, but maybe it's just battery degradation differences. The latest software on the Pro also brok

Apex 4 vs Fenix 7X Pro Solar Sapphire???
Fenix 7 is over 3 years old, and definitely not receiving any more software updates. The Coros Apex 4 is band new and will continue receiving support and updates, plus it is much more responsive in terms of UI.

WICH ONE
To summarize my experience: I also came from a Fenix 7, specifically the Sapphire Solar. I used it constantly, as I live in a mountainous area and really valued the map function. I wanted to try to survive without Garmin; they're incredibly expensive, and 90% of their app store consists of paid ap

Frustrated
I know. It happens. I even had to reboot my Vertical a couple of weeks ago to get the HR working again. Problem with that was, it didn't know the date since it couldn't sync with my phone. So now that run is logged back in 2023 or something. But since I don't really need HR data for my easy runs, I

Fenix 7 or 8 dilemma
I just sold my fenix 7s pro sapphire solar for a fenix 8. I was sick of MIPs and wanted amoled. I didn’t think it would be THAT big of an upgrade, but it was with some of the new updates to the 8 I hadn’t gotten to the 7. Primarily in running and it seems to have fixed some issues I had on my 7 with
