If La Marzocco is the Ferrari of espresso machines, what is your machine like?

I don’t think the Gaggia is a civic. It’s more like a Fiat 124 Spider. It’s simple, it’s beautiful, it’s Italian, it feels like a Ferrari when you use it. But it’s a budget sports car. And it recently got a refresh (GCP). Add Gaggimate and it’s like a Fiat Spider with Waymo hardware. The civic is a

Without any bias, with all facts considered, do boiler espresso machines produce better coffee than thermoblock machines?

A 50ml boiler for 40ml shots will do that... GCP was good 15 years ago when there was $400 Gaggia or the much more expensive 4-figure E61 group option. Now we've got loads of good machines to choose from.

What's the cheapest machine that can make acceptable milk drinks?(Not picky)[$<500?]

GCP (gaggia classic pro) is exactly $500 before tax + shipping. Wonderful machine that you can get a ton out of if you treat it well. Was my first “real” espresso machine, absolute workhorse for many years before I upgraded. I’m sure you’ll get the usual “grinder is more important” comments which ar

Anyone here gaggiamate their gaggia classic e24 and regret all the fuss?

I have a Gaggia Classic with Gaggimate, the non pro version (IE no pressure profiling). It solves the annoying little problems that I had with my GCP before the change. You get consistent temperature, pre infusion, great steam pressure and if you have Bluetooth scales it stops at your target weight

Help me step away from the Ninja Luxe Cafe Pro [€1000]

My set ut with extras cost €1000, and it produces fantastic coffee. Blows away 95% of specialty coffee shops I've tried. Machine: Gaggia Classic Pro E85 (€500), has brass boiler, very stable temperature for 1-2 shots and is best machine one can buy bellow Profitec go (which costs alone €1000). U can

Long Tamp & The Shortafilter

The tamp comes from MOTTA, I think I got it on Amazon a few years ago but a quick google search shows that there are smaller non-multinational conglomerates that sell it too. The weighting of this one is very nice and fits both my 58mm 18g and 21g baskets perfectly. The portafilter was a gift from m

Lelit Glenda PlusT, Gaggia Classic E24 or Rancilio Silvia V6 as a base for modding with Gaggimate Pro?

I have seen teardowns of both the Profitec and Rancilio - being a larger size with significantly more room to work with - the installation sound be much easier than the GCP E24. In the Gaggia you can only access from a confined space from above.

New Grinder

I'm very happy with mine. I'm sure I'd be happy with the non-Plus version too, but my wife really like the auto milk feature on the Plus. I like and use it too, it works great, but steaming manually isn't too hard and the non-Plus costs less, so if you're looking to save money it's a great option. I

Gaggia Classic Pro vs Profitec Go [1500€]

After a year and a half, the steam valve on my Gaggia Classic Pro started squeaking. Repair? Impossible, only replacement. Sure, Gaggia is selling a new machine, but you ultimately have to consider the manufacturing quality as well. Or you could just focus on the price and the look.
