What’s the best bang for your buck: espresso machines [2024]
used gaggia classic pro is prob the best bang for buck imo. built like a tank, easy to mod later if u get obsessed, and holds resale value. paired with a decent grinder it’ll easily give you real espresso without spending breville dual boiler money. for something simpler, the breville bambino or bam

What is the Best Espresso Machine for daily use as of today 2026?
First of all you need a grinder. I recommend the eureka mignon line of grinders because there is one at every price point, albeit those price points start at about $350 and go to $1k-ish. But truly this is your must have purchase. The Specialita is what started their popularity because they are so q

Gaggia Classic Pro - Texas edition
Hi All First time poster, long time lurker… I’ve been overhauling a neglected 2019 Gaggia classic Pro which has sat for a while. It was my first coffee machine that pulled me down the rabbit hole some 7 years ago… went on to a Quick Mill Pippa and then onto my current daily driver, a Rocket Appartam

Gift for medical student
This is what my husband bought to help himself through residency. We landed with a gaggia classic pro and it’s still going almost 10 years later. We’ve saved a lot of money on lattes haha. A bit of a learning curve but a fun hobby in a way.

What espresso machine did you start on, and would you recommend it to a beginner today?
Gaggia classic pro, yes it would. Honestly you can just get it and never get another machine.

Is the Baby Gaggia the same internally as the Gaggia Classic line?
The baby and gaggia classic have the exact same boiler, exact same group head, the e exact same pump, and the same kind of solenoid (won't say it's exactly the same, because it's changed slightly depending on the year, but they are all interchangeable and function the same). Only differences are the

If La Marzocco is the Ferrari of espresso machines, what is your machine like?
I don’t think the Gaggia is a civic. It’s more like a Fiat 124 Spider. It’s simple, it’s beautiful, it’s Italian, it feels like a Ferrari when you use it. But it’s a budget sports car. And it recently got a refresh (GCP). Add Gaggimate and it’s like a Fiat Spider with Waymo hardware. The civic is a

What's the cheapest machine that can make acceptable milk drinks?(Not picky)[$<500?]
GCP (gaggia classic pro) is exactly $500 before tax + shipping. Wonderful machine that you can get a ton out of if you treat it well. Was my first “real” espresso machine, absolute workhorse for many years before I upgraded. I’m sure you’ll get the usual “grinder is more important” comments which ar

Espresso machine for a regular person [$800]
something that is going to last. With this in mind... Breville and Delonghi machines are not known for their longevity. Plastic chassis, plastic tubes, they're not really made for long term (10+ year) reliability. You mentioned the Delonghi La Specialista... All-in-one machines aren't recommended he
