I worked as a photographer for ~40 years. In 2013 I switched from Canon FF to Fujifilm, because I needed lighter weight equipment to continue to be physically able to work. The early Fuji cameras had fine image quality but terrible autofocus and user interfaces. But those things improved and the ima

Hi, if you don't need the $150, the X-T50 is a clear upgrade for photography. You get IBIS (which is invaluable in low light with unstabilized lenses), the 40MP sensor which is a clear upgrade for image quality over the older 26MP sensor that has been in Fujifilm cameras since 2018 (and is also in t

Autofocus, hands down the OM-1II will obliterate any Fujifilm at this time. It's not even funny. Fujifilm is plagued with something worse than bad autofocus, false positives. Imagine seeing green AF confirmation squares, finishing a shoot, and coming back to see 30% of your shots are out of focus. B

Thank you! Yes i had a a7iii and the AF was spot on when you need it for work and editing raw files, but it was so good at everything that when using it for leisure it wasn’t fun and in fact daunting for me when i realised i have to edit all the raw files before posting. With the X-T5 i can shoot in

If I could upvote this several times, i would have😅 My X-E5 has just arrived today, and i can tell you already there’s not a single drop of regret. I have the Xpro2 and I just sold the XT5 to buy the XE5 in its place. Many comments already told you to get the Xpro3 for its “pro features” but lets be

I used to own a x-t5, but as I am mostly shooting wildlife and reading everywhere that fujifilm af is subpar for that I sold it and got a Canon R5. AF might not be your priority with the type of photography you do, but in all honesty there was not a night and day difference between the two in my opi

Fujifilm X-T5: Main Photography camera - I pull this out when I want to feel like a badass but no one will ever see the photos I take because I'm a poser and most of them come out of focus Fujifilm X100V: Side piece for photography - I want to look hip, I want to look cool. But the camera is too big

If your goal is to stay under the radar, I would go for a Ricoh GR III or, if you can afford it, a Ricoh GR IV. I use the silver X-T5 with the silver 23mm f/2.8 as my EDC and it is extremely conspicuous, just like the X-Pro, X100, and even the X-E5. I take photos as a hobby, and my first and only Fu

X-T50 is much closer to a high end mirrorless body like the X-T5, it carries much better, video, AF and IBIS too, but at a much higher price, also is noticably heavier, you can score a refurbed x-t50 off Fujifilm directly for $1300. The tone of the 40mp sensor is unique, but not my favorite the 30 I

Sold my Canon 5D mark III, which I primarily was using for weddings. I wanted a camera that would allow me to do more street and travel photography without the weight. I knew mirrorless was the way to go and I wanted JPEG files straight out of camera to avoid the dreaded hours upon hours of editing
