Heres my stream of consciousness... Don’t be demoralized by the leaks. The intent of signaling arbitrary dates for their most popular model (X-T series) is to make consumers defer purchasing decisions. Recall – heavy hitters like Canon R6 III and Sony A7V have dropped and so Fujifilm is on a timetab

I had s9 and I have x-e5. Here is the thing.. x-e5 IBIS was designed for photography so it’s very capable. But for video it’s okay, not a s9 level. AF is also designed for photography. If you do single point shooting then you will be fine. But if you always focus else where but center and hopping fo

If I could upvote this several times, i would have😅 My X-E5 has just arrived today, and i can tell you already there’s not a single drop of regret. I have the Xpro2 and I just sold the XT5 to buy the XE5 in its place. Many comments already told you to get the Xpro3 for its “pro features” but lets be

I’m a very casual photographer with more budget than skill. I’ve dabbled with MFT, Sony A7Rii, fancy point and shoots (RX1Rii, Ricoh GRii, X100F and IV) and now the X-E5. I’d agree that I think dollar for dollar the Sony offerings provide more raw performance. With a little practice and various exer

I have been using that setup of yours professionally for quite some time (weddings and other stuff) and for the sake of you not being disappointed, I have to clarify some information. X-H2 is not smaller than your 7R IVa. I have handled both. The Sony has very slightly more compact dimensions. You c

A lumix G9ii is probably ideal, but it’s hefty. The DJI OSMO cams are pretty affordable, dainty, and increasingly popular for far more than action vids. For more traditional cameras, the S9 or S5ii would be far more preferable to the X-E5 for video. If I was a young content creator tho, I would forg

I’ve liked the Zr a lot as a “pocket camera.” Before buying the Zr,I was considering the Fujifilm X100VI or the X-E5, but I think they’re a bit overpriced, especially since their autofocus isn’t close to Nikon’s. Hopefully, Nikon upgrades the Zfc next year. I was also interested in RAW video, but it

Have you considered the x-e5 with the pancake lense? I don't really think the AF on the Fujifilm is that bad for stills. But it's definitely not as good as sony for sure.

It’s a combination of a lot of things, the EVF is worse, no OVF, buttons/controls all feel cheap, body feels cheap, has a film sim dial which I had on my x-t50 and didn’t like. And not having a 23mm f2 is a huge loss. If you want a zoom lens then x-t5 is a better choice. IMO x-e5 as a package doesn’

I had s9 silver on launch + 50mm f1.8 deal. Kept the 50mm sold the s9 due to lack of evf and mechanical shutter. I hate to watch out shutter speed for random banding. Then it’s been like this : Fujifilm x-pro2 (want a light FF) -> s9 silver (lack of evf, mechanical shutter) -> fujifilm x100vi (no ex
