X100vi vs. X-E5

First of all, there’s no point asking people to share pics for the purpose of comparing the camera capabilities as both the X-E5 and the X100VI have the exact same sensor, and therefore are identical in terms of image quality. Both cameras check all five of the points you listed so you will have to

Ricoh GRIV: Right for Me?

Looking at your selection of photos I assume you prefer tighter focal lengths. Maybe instead of gr4 look into gr3x. Other option but not as compact is fujifilm cameras, x-t50 and x-e5 are small and you can put any lens on them or you can check out x100vi for a compact with built in lens. Also recent

With interchangeable lens

Many say that the FujiFilm X-E5 is an interchangeable lens version of the X100VI. The only things your missing is the ND filter and weather sealing. If you want something something with weather sealing look at an X-T5.

Selling the A7CII for a Fuji ie X-E5. Anyone else made a similar jump?

I made a similar switch from a7iii with 35mm GM to x100vi, but i didn’t like it because i missed that full-frame crispness. So, i sold the x100vi and switched to lumix S9 to get back to full frame but with customizable LUTs that are similar to fuji. But after using it for a few months, i realized th

Learning photography for 1st time: Fujifilm X100VI or better another camera?

I'd actually recommend against the X100VI as your first camera, even though it's hugely popular. The X100VI's 23mm f/2 (35mm equivalent) is a great focal length, but as a beginner, you need to discover what YOU like shooting and what focal lengths work for your style. Being locked into one lens mean

Spent one year shooting exclusively with the 23mm lens to realize that I hate this focal length

Everyone is different. On the FF. I like 20, 24, 40, 50, 55, 75, 105, 180 But I do not like 15, 28, 35, 90, 135. I think it’s been too long of journey of mine. Looked at way too many Photos on 28 and 35 and I got numbed because they all look the same to me now. Specially iPhone’s practical focal len

Which one should I buy?

The real question is which one would you actually take with you most often? You’re somewhat comparing apples and oranges. The XE5 is intended as a “lifestyle” camera for creators that want interchangeable lenses versus the X100’s fixed lens. Yes, it’s a serious imaging tool too, but its design is ce

X100vi vs. X-E5

id go for the xe5 as you might get bored of the fixed FOV of the x100vi. pretty much the same camera with the exception of the EVF (x100vi has a hybrid one). Also remember that the 40mp sensor on the xe5 will need a sharp lens attached to it so not all fujifilm x mount lenses will actually resolve t

Selling the A7CII for a Fuji ie X-E5. Anyone else made a similar jump?

I have an A7 III, two A7C II’s and five different E-mount lenses. I’ve been shooting Sony for 8+ years. I always thought Sony’s colour science was, while accurate, very boring and clinical. All the photos I got from my Sony require post-processing to look more “aesthetic,” for the lack of better wor

Fujifilm 27mm f/2.8 pancake or Leica D-Lux 8 or Ricoh GR III, IIIx, IV???

I have a Fujifilm x-e5 and the 27mm pancake (among other lenses). I also have a GR3. I end up taking the GR3 most of the time for 2 reasons: the Fujifilm 27mm drives me nuts with his noisy motors. The gr3 is the only really pocketable camera with this size sensor. If I take the Fujifilm, I only do s
