X100vi vs. X-E5

First of all, there’s no point asking people to share pics for the purpose of comparing the camera capabilities as both the X-E5 and the X100VI have the exact same sensor, and therefore are identical in terms of image quality. Both cameras check all five of the points you listed so you will have to

Ricoh GRIV: Right for Me?

Looking at your selection of photos I assume you prefer tighter focal lengths. Maybe instead of gr4 look into gr3x. Other option but not as compact is fujifilm cameras, x-t50 and x-e5 are small and you can put any lens on them or you can check out x100vi for a compact with built in lens. Also recent

X100vi vs. X-E5

id go for the xe5 as you might get bored of the fixed FOV of the x100vi. pretty much the same camera with the exception of the EVF (x100vi has a hybrid one). Also remember that the 40mp sensor on the xe5 will need a sharp lens attached to it so not all fujifilm x mount lenses will actually resolve t

Advice between X-T5, X-T50 and X-E5

X-T5 has the following advantages over the E and 50. 1/8000 mechanical shutter. 1/250 flash X sync. Weathersealed. Higher resolution EVF. 15fps burst. 2 x UHS II SD slots. Significantly better battery. USB 3.2 gen 2 @ 10gbps. FPS matters to me as I do wildlife and plane photography. https://www.dpre

My take on Leica's M11 V EVF version

Fujifilm didn’t try to have an actual rangefinder mechanism, just a projected image to obtain focus. Leica could do exactly the same thing potentially, but this isn’t using the video image as a ghost to obtain focus. Additionally, the actual camera would need to be redesigned to incorporate elements

Focus Assist: M EV1 compared to using Leica Glass with adapter on other systems?

I've used M EV1 - in store with a 50mm Lux M11-P with Visoflex 2(I own) SL2-S (I own) A7R 1, 2 & 3 with M adapter (no longer own) X-Pro2 and X-E5 (I own) I would rank the best M EVF focusing in this order Best: A7R X-Pro2 + X-E5 SL2-S + M EV1 A7R2+3 Worst: M11-P + Visoflex 2 I would also say the bes

Last few frames I took before selling my X100vi

X-E5 is a great upgrade in many aspects imo! I went to the store thinking I would buy the X100VI but once I tried both out, the X-E5 was a clear winner for me. One of the things that really bugged me with the X100VI was that the colours in the EVF looked kind of off. Like the blacks were crushed whe

Fujifilm X-E5 vs. Panasonic Lumix S9 for video

Video = S9 (IBIS, open gate, in general a lot of focus towards video features, plus it's full frame which might be beneficial)Photography = X-E5 (Viewfinder, mechanical shutter, hot shoe for flash) Neither are perfect hybrids (and lean one way more than the other). This is a good thread from the Fuj

Japan Street Photography: XF 23mm f/1.4 vs. the new Fuji X-Half? (Currently shooting X-T5)

I bought an X-Half for a recent trip to Okinawa, Japan in Shanghai, China. It was really good fun and I was impressed by the image quality. during the trip I decided that it's a limitations we're too much to justify living with for such an epic and expensive trip ( I live in London in the UK and so

Leaving the Sony A7CII to go back to Fuji: X-E5 or X-T50?

Hmm then to be honest I would go Nikon Zf. It has film recipes as well, built quality is way above Fujifilm. It has fantastic big EVF and best in the market manual focus assists to shoot with brilliant Voigtlander lenses. I wouldn't buy XE5/X-T50 for EVF experience. Choose X-T5 for better EVF if it
