Impressive. The new, improved generation of the Fellow Opus comes out shortly, within the next few weeks/month. I'd wait, if interested in the Opus.

I get the impression the gen1 opus was just wrong in too many aspects and fellow couldnt properly fix it anymore before the launch - from their ads it sounded like the gen2 is pretty much starting from scratch so if you consider an opus, definitely DONT go with gen1 :D

your DF54 likely has the stock burr, if you use it for espresso - not brew burr. If that burr is similar to the burr in the DF64V, which I know, then it is not a very good burr for pourover, and with another grinder, more pourover focused, you can likely expect some improvement agree that hand grind
