Had a Fellow Opus, don’t recommend it. The opus is all plastic, for espresso the micro adjustments are unnecessarily complicated and shortly after a year it kicked the bucket and refused to work. Local repair shops have been unable to get the part that got fried. The Ode is pourover or immersion onl

I would never take fellow up on their word without actual product experience. Seen their trackrecord a bit and would not be suprised if the Opus gen 2 has a even bigger retention than the first gen lol

Best thing I did with my fellow opus was sell it on eBay and get a different grinder.

Baratza Encore ESP Pro, it's what cured my rage after the Fellow Opus. Whatever you do, do NOT get an Opus. With the Encore ESP Pro you're good to grind just about anything from a reputable brand for $299.

It’s a solid grinder, but will not work for espresso. I had it and switched to a Fellow Opus—don’t buy the Opus Return the grinder and get the DF54.

For me, PID was a must to reduce sources of frustration and thereby Profitec Go (on discount) was most sensible if I wasn't going to add it myself on a silvia or gaggia. W

I can weigh in a bit as I just had my Key Mk2 delivered a couple days ago. That is NOWHERE near enough time to get to know the grinder but I did compare the Casa to it before purchasing. It seems that the Casa excels at light and medium roasts with the Key being a little bit less focused on that ran

FWIW: Meraki has a gen 2 that’s taking preorders now, and might be worth waiting for (improvements in grind adjustment and e61 58mm portafilter/accessory compatibility, among other tweaks). Not sure when the gen 2 actually ships The Fellow S1 seems to be reviewing well, but avoid the Opus at all cos
