"Good buy" ? You mean "good performance at a good price" ? Yes. No. IMO the differences are minor. I don't have a knocker, but then, I don't want or need one. Nothing works better for clearing fines than bellows. Occasionally I remove the magnetically held chute and use the included brush to wipe th

I bought my DF83V last September and love it. I've heard from two others that bought VS6s and they both said they're pleased with their grinder. I bought the silver one. I like its looks but the dial lines are kind of hard to see under the bright kitchen lights. The black is recommended. It took a f

Yep. I’ve definitely screwed up my burr alignment one of the times I deep cleaned my Eureka Mignon Silenzio, because I can’t seem to grind fine enough for my 18gram basket anymore…I’m stuck using my 22g basket recently. I just need to suck it up and do the full burr calibration alignment and properl

Agreed, this would be my recommendation. Very low retention without using the knocker, a little tap on the hopper and you're good. Also, it's very quiet, I find it quieter than the Eureka Mignon Silenzio. It's also much quicker.

Yea. I noticed I’ve been doing this as well. I took off the anti-clumping thingy on my eureka mignon silenzio awhile ago, because of the retention it created behind it…but I’m pretty sure the extra RDT’ing I need to do to avoid grinds flying everywhere is too much. I think I am creating much worse r

I upgraded from Eureka Mignon Silenzio to DF83V. I think it's finally getting seasoned now (two months in). Yes, it tastes better than the Silenzio (much better clarity). I've now taken it apart and run the alignment test on it and was delighted to find that it's perfectly aligned. I'm still not sur

Are you able to get consistent results in back to back shots with the Move? I’ve had mind for a few weeks and i absolutely love it, but i cant really rely on the programmable features because I often get inconsistent results between shots. I’ve tried controlling all variables and the one constant is

I only have heard about the gen 2 where they added a knocker to the chute, and I think they took away the magnetically removable chute in order to do this. Dunno what the 3rd gen diffs are. Personally, I don't want a knocker, as I can simply grab the chute and clean it and put it back. I like that.

Have the DF64 gen 2 for light sometimes medium roasted beans for espresso. It’s very very very consistent if you clean the shute regularly which all need I feel it’s perfect. Also have an Eureka Helios 65 (for sale) and also used but already sold my Eureka Mignon Silenzio 55. The Helios is a beast t
