Approved list of 3rd party routers
Eero 6E Pro. You can get a brand new one for £99 on eBay. Get more than one if you want to extend the range and use the mesh facility.

SaskTel vs Rogers (Shaw) internet speeds
All new Infinet SaskTel contracts come with 2 Eero Pro 6e. That is what the "whole home wifi" is. Very capable routers in my experience. Haven't felt the need to buy my own for once.

Done with TP-Link
I switched from TP cuz every time Internet went out, it would take hours of not a day to reconnect the tp mesh system back online. Switched to eero pro 6e. Never had a problem again been going a year and various outages and they always reconnect without issue. My devices easily jump from one router

Daily FI discussion thread - Tuesday, April 28, 2026
I had Eero 6E for years (4 of them), and upgraded early this year to a Unifi Dream 7, with 4 access points for the rest of the home (4000 sqft). Our home is basically a ranch (with a large yard), so the extra APs help get coverage everywhere. While Eero was a massive upgrade from my prior system (an

Who's the best full fibre up to 1Gb for home use
I have 1Gb service from Plusnet, started at £29.99 … replaced the router with a couple of Eero Pro 6E (second hand from CEX about £70 each)… same basic service as BT/EE but without the bill shocks and with great customer service; I recommend. The Eeros get me 900Mb plus even 2 floors away.

Fiewalla AP
I had four Eeros. Three Pro 6e’s and one Ring Alarm Pro. I could have gotten away with three AP7’s but coverage was okay in a few rooms and I wanted the signal to be a little stronger since I was rebuilding my whole network. The AP’s are generally where the 6e’s were and they probably aren’t the bes

BT halo pretty expensive but reliable is it worth a change now?
With a normal size house you should be able to get most of the speed you are paying for round it. Firstly move to Plusnet, it’s the same basic service as EE or BT at a fraction of the price. I’m currently paying £29 for 900Mbps. Second get a decent router or mesh. I bought a couple of Eero Pro 6e me

Mesh for Vodafone or booster
I just bought 2 second hand eero Pro 6e mesh routers from CeX for £72 apiece. I get almost my full speed (around 930Mbps) over wireless backhaul two floors from the main router. I have Plusnet FF900 and I couldn’t recommend these enough.

Need wireless mesh router recommendations
We have Eero - you can probably get away with Eero Pro 6e and buy them used and save a good bit of money. I bought 3 on eBay, intending to use two, and resell the third, but I installed the third in our unfinished walk up attic and never have issues with speed/connections anywhere in the house (and

Eero 7
I have 3 x Eero Pro 6e and 1 x Eero 6+. The router can manage 1400 Mbps on wifi to a compatible device, but drops to 300 Mbps if I'm at the far end of the Mesh. The Eero 6+ and Eero 7 are dual band routers 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz. It's better if you can get the Pro model as they are Tri band and have a 6
